I got Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on Steam. I'm pretty bad at the game, but I still enjoy it lol. I'm not going to online for a while, because I'm only really decent with Chun-Li and X-23.

I have a Playstation 4 and right now I'm only really playing 3 games. To be honest every year at Christmas I get a few games and those are the only games I will really play until the next christmas unless a big title like GTA or Red Dead comes out at some point during that year. Anyway, right now I'm only really playing Battlefield One, FIFA 17 and GTA V. I hadn't played GTA for ages before two days ago but got back into it because they are currently doing double cash for contact missions so these few days have been extremely easy to make money quickly. Really want to get one of the new cars that Rockstar released.

I set up a Dreamcast emulator recently and have been playing a game called Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage. No prizes for guessing what manga series it's based on. It has an original story written by the author himself, which is all very well except for the fact that the main villain is called... wait for it... BALLSACK. Okay, so it's actually Balzac but it may as well be for how similar it sounds. I like how the game uses 'credits' for lives, it's a very arcadey sort of beat 'em up, kind of like Streets of Rage but in 3D, and with a big-ass sword. The soundtrack was done by the same composer as the anime, and is probably my favorite thing about it.

Here's an old magazine advert for the game which is really stupid, but I love it:

Now imagine if that was your surname!!

Hahah, oh man, I'm sorry. I just had to. Several days ago I traded my Yooka-Laylee for Bayonetta, so I intend to play that soon enough. I haven't played many games for a while though, except the odd game of 100% Orange Juice.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

Are you talking about me specifically, you cheeky bastard? When I become the leader of my own fleet you'll be calling me Admiral Ballsa-- er, Balzac... so laugh while you can! After Googling (no, not goolieing) it seems that Balzac actually IS (or was) a real person's surname. I feel sorry for his next of kin.
What a trade! That person must have really, REALLY wanted to play Yooka-Laylee for some reason. Well, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Bayonetta seems like a great game, I just hope the guy doesn't turn around and accuse you of scamming him.

Another game I discovered recently is Road Redemption, which is goddamned awesome and I'm looking forward to playing it at an acceptable frame rate when I get my gaming PC.

So I started playing Nier: Automata-I haven't gotten super far into the game but I'm really enjoying it. The combat feels good and the music...holy damn, this game has some great atmospheric tracks.

I plan on playing more tonight.

So this thread has been dead for awhile so I think I should bring this back. I've been playing Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines. I've been meaning to play this game for a long time and after playing it, I can't believe this game slipped under my radar. It's a great RPG game. They really nailed the urban gothic atmosphere and some great music helps it even more. The story so far is pretty solid and has some really cool characters including Jeanette and Therese whose relationship is...well, I dare not spoil it for those who haven't played it yet. It is buggy, especially with the latest patch and some of the missions are hard as shit (I'm still stuck on the side mission for fat larry...holy shit is that mission a pain in the ass) but if you want a moody RPG then this game fits the bill perfectly.

I'm also going to be replaying Wolfenstein: The New Order to prep myself for the new game coming out in a few months. This was a really good FPS. Not as good as Return to Castle Wolfenstein but it has some satisfying gunplay that brought back some of the run and gun style of the original. The fact that you can dual wield pretty much everything in the game is great.
