"I don't know what words I can say
The wind has a way to talk to me
    Flowers sleep, a silent lullaby
    I pray for reply
    I'm ready"

I get bouts of game binging, not true addiciton per se.
Everytime a new pokemon game comes out I beat it in 3 days or less, something I just do since my friends and I play all at the same time. I'll usually continue playing and leveling for many weeks to come, but at a much slower and less life-consuming pace.
The closest to true addiction was the 150 hours+ of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate I played within the first two weeks of getting the game. That's pretty much half of that time spent in one game!

Oh man, that list could go on for days, but some of my all time faves would have to be...

-Super Mario RPG: Legend of the 7 Stars. Great Mario RPG, if you haven't played it then you're missing out.
    -Most of the Final Fantasies.
-Ogre Battle for the N64. I liked it better than the ps1 version.
    -All the Fallout games...
-WoW took up a few years of my life. Had to finally stop that addiction. lolz

But ya, the list could go on and on, but I'll stop there.

A few months ago, I was addicted to TERA for a little more than a year. I was an avid PvPer in one of the top PvP guilds, and I want to say that I was pretty good at PvE too. A lot of grinding was involved which took most of my weekends and my free time. Friends made TERA tolerable but I didn't really have other people to play with other than 2-3 people so eventually content got stale with nothing to do. I spent most of my time in TERA doing dungeons and daily quests but that was pretty much it. I log on from time to time but currently, I'm not interested in the game at all. I've already stopped playing TERA once before and got back to it, so I'm probably going to return in the near future.

There was a time where I played at least a couple of hours of Team Fortress 2 every day, I wish I could say Overwatch has filled that void but I'm having a hard time really getting into it. It's an interesting question, when was the last time you felt compelled to play a game for at least a couple of hours in one sitting? My latest Demon's Souls playthrough would probably be my answer to that, mostly because I'm assisting a friend through the game, but I've been trying out a new build which has been a lot of fun. I'm using a katana with a bow and arrow as well as the Thief's Ring, which makes it harder for enemies to detect you. Picking off red-eyed knights from a distance while they stumble about trying to find me has been really satisfying, I feel like some kind of stealthy assassin.

Back to the question at hand... I've never been one for Dota, League of Legends or World of Warcraft, you know, the 'usual suspects' when it comes to video game addiction. Now and then a game will come along that'll make me want to play it, and NOT STOP playing it. The last games that fit that category would probably be Nioh and Resident Evil 0, though I already know Breath of the Wild is going to eat up hours of my life when it comes out.

Star Wars: Knighs of the Old Republic did that to me. The gameplay and story really sucked me in. I remember when I was in college I was playing that game starting at 9:00 at night and before I know it, it's 4 in the morning when I finally pull myself from that game! System Shock 2 has this effect on me as well. I make it a tradition to replay it every Halloween and I lost many evenings in October thanks to that game.

The games I played like crazy were on the pc and pop like Gunz: the dual, s4 league, gunbound, and rakion. I also enjoyed making money on runescape. I enjoyed bioshock and also enjoy destiny's pvp compared to overwatch. I don't know why I can't get into it myself. Maybe because you can't zoom in on characters and the objective is similar where as in destiny there are different battle modes when on pvp. I really miss rakion but I think Latin America mostly plays nowadays and I don't know spanish, lol.
