I'm probably the only one here who does. But I'm sure you will soon.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
Jim: "How do you know?"
Gene: "I don't!"
Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"
Very experimental smiley I whipped up earlier today in around twenty minutes.
It's based on an expression from the Outlaw Star manga. I'm not sure whether a manga smiley set is worth pursuing. I mean, the manga is really important right now so it's not like it doesn't deserve recognition. The characters in the manga are very expressive. You can use a more general template for the anime's art style and a set of expressions for all anime smilies, but with the manga, Takehiko Ito probably drew Gene in a hundred different ways!
So it's unclear what a general manga smile would look like. This is based on a smirk. You might notice that it imitates the dot b/w shading style found in manga by using a technique called dithering. It doesn't work that great but it was worth a try.
