    RE: Music By Gecko Infinite

Been aaaaaaages since I made a Drum & Bass track. A great few months. I thought I'd slap something together, a little track about betrayal. You know, falling out, and being excluded from your group of friends?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccpCiDUJcQI

Samples I used were A vocal sample of MF Grimm, from a radio freestyle and a vocal sample of Benefit, from a track he did also called "Friends". Also, Zelda fans, keep an ear out for a familiar flute sound. Everything else, apart from the 3 different layered drum loops, was composed by me. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you think I should make more like this.

    RE: Music By Gecko Infinite

*Cracks fingers* time for an update. Thanks to Skyrim, I haven't had much chance to make new music. and although I am posting a new beat, it isn't entirely "new". I originally made this beat in 2010, one of my first ever. used it for a song, and never released the instrumental. However, since then, I've remastered it and pretty much rebuilt it from the ground up. So here it is, enjoy.

Well, it's not like you could have done that anyway. XD I do like it, although if I can give some criticism, I think it could have done with a little more customisation, since the MIDI-ness of it is easily noticeable. Good work though.

Nah, man, I changed all the instruments. I see what you mean though. In this case, I just didn't want to make it sound too different.

By that I didn't mean it sounding like MIDI instruments, but rather, I meant it sounded like it's done from a MIDI. But then again, I've been a listener of MIDIs on VGMusic for over a decade now, so I have a good ear for that and VGM in general.

Anyway, like I said, aside from the crits I explained (I'm always honest with my feedback) it's nice to listen to. The percussion also gets a bit repetitive, but I like the bass.

Probably no one will listen to this, but I'm really happy with it.

My entry to Lord Lhus' official remix competition. Don't think I'll really win, but I know it's a good effort. Can't beat original, though
