That could be a myth (the girls liking that), but to be completely honest I wouldn't put it past Japan if true.

It was a first-hand account! Not all Japanese girls of course, but as least one that I know of was apparently really into vore and shotacon manga.

Hope everything goes well on the employment side, man . As for the...olsort of hentai, I'm more concerned that it's in "Young Jump" than anything else...mqn, ajapan, you're weird sometimes.
And I'm not surprised that there are people who are into Vore...there's enough on deviantart. Make sure you have mature content off on that site, kids lol.
As for Shotacon...Super Lovers exists, AND was licensed via Crunchyroll for at least 6 months before it was taken off.......that scares me sometimes

Ironically, it turns out that "Young Jump" is (or was) a publication featuring mature and often very violent manga. Oh, Japan!

I'm personally thankful for your passion. Just yesterday, Hari and I were talking about what we might be doing if you hadn't brought us together through OSUK/Nexus. Scary to imagine. I hope we'd all meet anyway.

And yeah, Japan can be kind of...weird. I've heard stories my friend'ss grandma tells him (he's part Japanese). It'd be nice if you could get a refund or something. But at least working in general helps you feel better. I hope we all get to help with that too!

Funnily enough, 'Berserk' is published in a monthly magazine called 'Young Animal', a manga that frequently has scenes of extremely graphic violence, including sexual violence. What's with the 'Young' prefix, seriously? You're giving consumers the wrong idea. Young Jump is worse, since Shonen Jump is known for shonen manga aimed at a middle-schooler demographic. Imagine being a poor kid who asked his parents to buy him Jump, only to get demon gore porn instead.

Decided that health is more important than finishing an article. Will complete tomorrow. I got four hours last night so I can't jeopardise it this time. I'll admit I've procrastinated a little too, but not just on this community's tasks. Sometimes I just have these negative spells and I don't want to talk to anybody and feel that I'm losing control of things. Which is annoying because what I want to do and what I should do to advance in life is staring me in the face. It's as if my subconscious wants me to succumb to mediocrity.

Fortunately, they are only spells and I hope that tomorrow I'll have a lot more energy. But even when I'm working on a new business venture I find that I'm increasingly keeping them to myself. Talking to my family about any of this is counterproductive. My dad wouldn't care full stop, but I actually prefer that to how my mother is. My mother would ask questions like, "What if the guy doesn't pay you?", "Are you sure this idea will make you money?", "Are you actually working on it?", etc. Always discouraging me. If I start a diet plan she'll constantly ask if I'm checking my weight. She'd even go as far as looking in my rubbish for a takeaway or any other snack when she visits me once a week. That wouldn't be completely terrible if she wasn't a huge hypocrite. Every month she says something like, "This week I'm starting on a new diet!" Days later I see that she's been buying junk food, but I don't judge her for it. Does she belittle me to feel better about herself or something? Hell if I know. I just feel that if I had disconnected myself from my family I could be doing better in life right now. But it would break my mother's heart. I'm the youngest sibling and she'd find it hard to let go of me. Plus, I'm always the bad guy if I do anything that offends her. She always gossips about it. I guess I wouldn't have to care about that if I broke contact with my whole family.

Wow, that was quite the digression and rant. I'll probably sleep better having got that off my chest. Speaking of which, time to hit the hay...

That right there, amigo. Never forget that one.

And...let's just say I think I totally get the parental-unit-themed lamentations. Mine mean well, but as I'm sure is the case with yours they don't really know how much the work landscape has changed in the 30+ years since they've actually had to look for a job.

And family is good, but...I think you're getting to that place where one inevitably arrives: interactions with the parents more and more become the exception, rather than the norm. Meet-ups are mostly around holidays. I love my family, but man I can't really be under the same roof with them anymore for more than a few days...and even then, only with a few months of healthful "buffer" in between visits!

& hey man, remember if you're having one of those spells, it's ok to let them run their course for a while...but when you finally need a kick in the pants, when you actually know exactly what it is you need to do, just picture Hilda grabbing you by the collar, lookin' you in the eyes (umm...eye) and sayin' "You just gonna' keep runnin' away?"

You know the only response to that.
No one's gonna' give you a map. You've gotta' walk your own path.

I'm glad to read you're putting your health first! Actually, I've been in bed all day ill (have a mild fever and everything!). Seeing you focus on your health reminds men to focus on mine too and not let my computer addiction keep me from getting the rest I need!

That said, I'm sorry to hear about the negativity spell...but as the name implies, it's (hopefully) just a spell. I look forward to you smiling lots again soon!

And rants are what journals are for, right? Now to go to sleep myself, following your good example! Lots of hugs.
