Thread: The Misadventures of a Mantis

Shit, you got me.

A thread for the anime night was something I wanted to do originally. I refrained from that since I hadn't figured out the technicalities regarding user count and the like. I don't think it would be a problem now as the active members here is similar. I might make an anime thread later. As for gaming, feel free to make a thread in the games forum and if people show interest I'll stick it.

So, I'm on my holiday at Costa Del Sol. I used to be more adventurous in my travels and I'd like to travel alone again after my surgery, but honestly travelling with my parents and grandparents has been pretty enjoyable so far. The weather's also damn good...



Jokes aside, this is what I needed. I hate British weather and this is nice. Left Britain in some stormy clouds and landed without a cloud in the sky. I need to start doing this regularly. I thought I might need a moderator but the Wi-Fi's great. I've got a few hours to spare every night. This is a good time to continue the manga while enjoying the cool breeze, and I can work on the forum if necessary. Aside from spending twenty minutes at the bar there's not much else to do at night. A lot of old folks come here and their kind of entertainment isn't so compatible with me.

I scanned a complete 110-ish-page art book the day before I left. All I need is a mouse so I can enjoy cleaning up scans. (I'm not being sarcastic there.) I'm gonna work on that (since it's way overdue) and generally chill out at night. What I look forward to the most is probably Gibraltar. Apparently you get a pretty good view of Africa from there and it's a British territory so I'll feel at home. Lots of monkeys, so my dad will feel at home too.

I spent most of today exploring the town of Fuengirola which is where I'm staying. It's a good place and the people are nice. After a bit of searching I found a mouse too. It works well with my laptop, but the headphones I got from a market are naff. They were only €5 but it seems they only work in mono. What's the point? That's €5 I'm getting back. Despite that I've had a great time so far. The hotel has a pool table so I'm finally learning how to play it. It's certainly not something you can learn overnight.

The café also has a slushie machine! I'm a generally mature person, but lemme tell ya, if I ever see one of those slushie machines I'm sure as shit getting one. Total icy blast from the past.

And I'm with you on slushies. Was a has them and the temptation not to buy one is always there every time I go there lol.

And...really? Who makes Mono headphones? That's just crazy.

Gotta be up early tomorrow for Gibraltar. I'll have to get some photos on here tomorrow evening/night. I highly recommend travelling around this time of year. Cheap holidays, weather that's still beautiful here and without the hassle that comes with booking in the summertime, not to mention the crowds. The only negative is the thought of going back to Britain. Weather forecasts look terrible.

Oh, btw, probably should of mentioned this earlier, but I'mma be honeymooning in Ireland in like, two weeks.

Bull! You're never too mature for a slushie. So those are the quintessential hot weather snack.

Currently enjoying some fish and chips at Roy's famous restaurant. (Thank goodness for the OSN app!) Why Spyro is on the menu is beyond me though.

That really depends on which Ireland! Are you going to the Ireland that's a part of the UK called Northern Ireland, or are you going to Ireland Ireland? The latter is in my opinion a more beautiful and enchanting place!

Absolutely! I actually spotted Slush Puppies a little earlier. I don't know if you have them in the States, but they're divine. I'll pick one up soon.
