Decided to get that expensive RAM I mentioned, the same 16GB I got a year ago. I can look past the price if I save up some money. Get it today, in just over an hour? From the great Amazon themselves? They never let me down. Or do they? I should have noticed the "3000MHz" label as I ordered "2400MHz". Unfortunately they weren't genuinely mistaken!

They're not the Corsair sticks I'm familiar with. They're cheap Kingston, with dirty labels. No attempt to give them similar plastic casing either. They're paperweights, even if I accepted being ripped off. This cheap RAM couldn't work properly with my genuine Corsair. I'm not happy with Amazon. There's nothing they can do until I return this. I'm going to have to wait several days at least until I can get what I paid for. Not cool Amazon.

    What.

    No really, what?
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

This was probably fraud by some random scumbag living in this general vicinity. It often falls under "return fraud", or more specifically "switch fraud" (not to be confused with those tablets/consoles) which is quite self-explanatory. The person orders an item and swaps it with a counterfeit product, returning it for a nice refund. I spent some time looking into the "8GB RAM" I received. They're actually 1GB RAM sticks that can be bought on eBay for about $2 a piece. Additionally, the box I got is a fake.

I ended up having to order the genuine product from the main Amazon site for next-day delivery. They gave me an amazing £5 for my troubles and I found a £20 Amazon gift card I must have had hidden away for many months. So it wasn't as much of an expense. Finally put together my computer again with a complete set of good RAM. Of course, despite the root of the problem probably being some tosser, Amazon isn't free of all blame. They could have prevented this. Warehouses should always weigh returned items. The counterfeit RAM was much lighter than genuine. Although I sent off the fake RAM earlier today I probably won't have my refund for a few days. I can't complain further because this situation could have turned out far shittier.

The only way it could be shittier is if my RAM replacement (RAM has been identified as the most likely cause of my computer crashes/freezes) doesn't actually do anything. Then I think I might implode.
