Thread: What Happened with Outlaw Star 2?

Yeah I can agree with that. And besides, this is actually a really cool way of thinking about it. Seth has been the only person to do the translations of the 2nd and 3rd volume of the manga's that I have ever heard of since I started watching this show as a kid. And if he truly is the first person to do it, then this would be the first time an English translation of the Manga was ever deciphered and posted somewhere on the internet for the world to read.

To me, that just sounds cool in and of itself. No pressure or anything Seth but that's how I actually found this site was because I was looking for the physical manga's to buy as well as the English translations of them on the internet.

As I've expressed before, I'd be willing to help with your translations in any way I can, whether it's graphical work (I feel I could replace the text from manga scans and add English text with relative ease) or being an editor to perhaps reword (whilst retaining the original meanings) your translated sentences.

It also makes me wonder how accurate the German and Italian translations are, since I think it would probably be easier to translate from them. I can't remember what Seth said before, but I'm wondering how Seth goes about interpreting the kanji. I've tried using some OCR software before to no avail.

I don't know how, but I would love to see Outlaw Star continued in some way. Make it happen!

I'm glad you liked the article. Whilst we have no solid stronghold on the series to make a sequel happen, if we pull together and build an even more powerful community, and generate a notable amount of interest in a sequel, who knows?

I've been told many times to give up because it will never happen. That goes against an outlaw's philosophy though, don't you think? I'm going to keep on fighting, no matter how tough it gets.

As cool as follow up to Outlaw Star would be, I'm kind of glad it never happened. I'm not saying that what you're trying to do is pointless (Quite the opposite, I was deeply impressed by the article you wrote. A whole lot of love, effort, and research went into that bad boy), but I think OS should rest. It was a great run, fun, and had cool characters. I just can't see a sequale doing as well as the original.
