    RE: OLS UK Gaming Club

Let's agree on a time at the weekend where we'll chat about it in the chat room and perhaps get a game of something going.

    Katey, Minecraft is extremely addicting

Sounds like a good plan Mantis. I'm free almost anytime over the weekend except around 5pm central time.

    RE: OLS UK Gaming Club

As none of my consoles have online capability, PC gamer by default here.

For the most part, I like to sit around twiddling my thumbs like it's the 90's, before I started having cutscenes and all that bull**** thrown at me every few minutes. Or you know, games which had an actual co-op mode of sorts that wasn't a bunch of 3-minute maps usually featuring stupid conditions chucked in at the last minute *COUGH*COUGH*MODERN WARFARE 2*COUGH*.

List of games I have and will play online without all that much hesitation:
    • C&C: The First Decade (compatible with original release versions of each game included, but I really can't stand Yuri's Revenge; so forget that)
    • DOOM (via Skulltag)
    • Quake/Quake II
    • Age Of Empires II (I am generally **** at this, and often create nonsensical MP scenarios)
    • Halo: CE (I have this somewhere, though I might have to 'find' it again... Mantis)
    • Battlefield 2 (public dedicated servers suck, will have to host fake LAN game)
    • Sven-Coop (HL mod)
    • Red Orchestra
    • COD: Modern Warfare 2

I have many other games scattered around too, but they're probably not installed right now... and now that I actually think about they're probably not even geared for any sort of MP.
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

I feel a lot of these are doable. But we'll definitely discuss it during our chat. I think Friday night is a good idea. Who's up for it? If we say 10.00PM on Friday night, that would probably be 4.00PM or 5.00PM for some Americans, so actually it might be better to do it on Saturday.

We could do it on Sunday. It's not my decision alone. Let's see what everyone else has planned for the weekend first.

I have something in mind for Combat Evolved that would work out for everyone here. But we'll discuss this during the chat.
