    RE: The First Alien War

It's good to see my replacement is having better luck than I did.

To keep the recruits coming in, I've cooked up a propaganda poster.

Thanks to Mantis for providing an image of...well, a mantis.

    That's an amazing poster.
Your guy looks like he has sunglasses 8)

The Combat Op had a last minute change. The original UFO we were to raid took off before we reached it. However, fate dealt us another hand and gave us a different Large UFO...

This is, X-COM: Part 11 - The Large One.

The battle is taking place in a wooded area and the trees are being cut down Mythbusters style with laser and plasma fire. A new breed of Alien drops to the floor just as fast as any other Alien as things seem to be going X-COM: Part 12 - All Too Well...

You may have noticed some things occur based upon what I state. Mantis shoots better when I berate his accuracy. I stated something like nothing can get past the battleline and well, nothing does.

...But I also marked X-COM: Part 13 - Spaceman Spiff for death. Will that come true?

A decent update will come in around a day or so.

    Soldier Replacements

Spaceman Spiff is being replaced by Novastorm. Let's hope he survives more than one mission!

Awesome, my guy's name is one of the video titles! Too bad he died.

At least we got plenty of elerium from the raid, though.

I hope Novastorm has better luck than his predecessors did.

    RE: The First Alien War

Whilst scouting through America, Klendathu finds that the Aliens have set up a base near Los Angeles. Only bad things can come of this. Maybe the Aliens will harvest the locals for organs. Maybe they'll kidnap them for biological and cybernetic research. Maybe they'll even try and convince the U.S government to stop funding us.

We can't allow this to happen. Klendathu will simply stroll up to the illegal and unwanted base and initiate an X-COM: Part 14 - Alien House Call.

It's not long before we find that this is different from the Terror Missions or the UFO raids we've done. Quickly we deploy new tactics to help deal with this situation and start a X-COM: Part 15 - Growing Denial of the enemy's movement area.

Snakemen and their respective terror units are all dropping fast. Intel suggests that one of the Aliens still alive will be valuable in our war against the invaders. With stun rods in hand it's up to Drake, Kokirininja, NecroMantis and Vasquez to X-COM: Part 16 - Taze Them All.

With that success out of the way it's time to start focusing on our research efforts as the shiny Elerium-115 rolls into the general stores. Klendathu are doing a damn fine job with the X-COM: Part 17 - R&D and the fact we've taken out some Aliens is great. We're outperforming the old Kiryu-Kai project!

But with all this research and technology, could it really be that the X-COM: Part 18- End Is In Sight?

The next recording is in two days time. Until then it's...

    Voting Time!

In what order are we going to research Elerium, Weaponry, UFO stuff or the Alien? Feel free to leave any combination below.

Also, should we have a base in America?

I'd say things are looking up! We got a commander, blaster bombs...and Novastorm's made an awesome debut.

Voting to research UFO stuff. Let's get some personal armor.

And yeah, we should have a base in America.

    RE: The First Alien War

The Aliens have become more aggresive. More UFOs are being sighted in Canada and North America. Thus Klendathu has taken it upon itself to deploy a second base in Canada. Hopefully this base will detect hostile movement and developments.

Meanwhile, Buenos Aires is under attack. In Klendathu there is but one rule.

X-COM: Part 19: Everyone Fights and no-one quits.

Klendathu Division's attempt to save Buenos Aires makes and old situation rear it's ugly head. We've done this before, in the past. Terror missions are always a problem but this one... This one just might be a chance to test our new found technology.

    Looks like it's time for X-COM: Part 20 - Round 2.

Fighting with rockets, tanks, lasers and a dead body (yea, you read that correctly) Klendathu saves Buenos Aires but at the cost of one squad member. You will be missed.

But mourning is something we can never do as we must constantly fly back to base, rearm and then go X-COM: Part 21 - From One Fight To The Next.

With all this technology, how can we possibly fail in our efforts to stop the Alien Invasion? We have no idea. But what we do know is how to go about X-COM: Part 22 - Ending The Next Wave

So, I've screwed up the research big time. See, we needed Alien Origins before the Snakeman leader and then we needed the Snakeman Commander. Oh well, we can still get all that wonderful tech done!

    The KIA List
NecroMantis has been reduced back to bone(?) and carapace. Awaiting name replacement!

    RE: The First Alien War

Looks like the war is going well, our losses are minimal even on terror missions!

Although they probably don't seem so minimal to Mantis, since he's the one who died.

Even so, keep this up and we'll mop up the aliens.

    RE: The First Alien War

Alright, in case no-one's heard / found out, X-COM's had to stop. This is mainly due to a save issue that prevents me from finishing the game. Sorry about that.

I am currently running an LP that's not going to appear on the forums, (Pokemon Crystal) because it's a way of ways through. This can be found on the youtube channel as per the norm.

I may run another group LP in the future on here but that won't be for a while thanks to how long Crystal is.

In short, sorry for messing up.
