Saving up for the Spur, I see.

Are you also going to do Hell's Run? If so...good luck not dying there!

RE: Cave story: One Life Edition.

Once more in our lifetime we wake up within a dimly lit room. There are other robots here too. All of them damaged. Looking up we see a long distance between the roof and us. Bits of ruin block some of the view and at the top is a switch.

There are rumours of an exit within this place, within these walls. A place, known as the Boulder Chamber is said to house the only way out.

But this place is dangerous. There aren't many friendly things around and the guardian of the road to the Boulder Chamber is known only as Monster X. Stories are told about how no-one has ever beaten it in combat.

So are we doomed to forever live within what seems to be, P9: A Labyrinth

The rumour is true. A path lies beyond the boulder. It is our destiny, Curly, Quote, you and I to cleanse this place and explore every teleporter to see just what could lurk within such a guarded area. Could it be a weapon of unparalleled existences? A lifeform that's on the verge of exctinction. Could the Doctor be hiding within these walls of the Labryinth to mock and to laugh at the misfortunes of it's occupants?

Or is it, P10: An over used Gradius reference?

Nice job beating some of the game's tougher bosses without dying.

You do not know how hard it was to NOT use the Life Pot during the Core fight.

I'm saving that for a later date. Where it will actually be needed.[hr]
Water numbs the senses. Our eyes slowly shut as we pass out.

A second goes past after drowning and suddenly we can breath...

Curly gave us her air breather. To repay the favour and make sure she doesn't die we must drain her of her water. She is flooded and that will only lead to death.

There must be somewhere where we can learn how to take the water out from her body and save her.

After that, to find our friends we need P11: A way out

Got to that house on the first try, I see. I can't even count how many times I had to redo that part D=

RE: Cave story: One Life Edition.

With a new weapon in our hands, and a jetpack Booster on our backs the horrors of this island are slowly diminishing. Booster's old frail face is filled with woe and fear of the Doctor and his hope that Sue may eventually escape.

A teleportation is in order to retrieve forgotten items from the trash dump of the island so that me way press P12: Forever Forwards

The Egg Corridor is a mess. Deathly Spikes and undead Dragons are scattered throughout the remains of this once hopefull place. Only the bugs and the few Critters remain, Basil the Hedgehog is no more. The Elephants are extinct. Could the Doctor do any more damage to this island? To our world?

The red flowers are being cultivated above our heads as we speak, the rakes and sprinklers of the Mimigas never tire else they face the consequences. To reach them we must climb the most dangerous place thus far. One miss step and it's all over. But get to the top and the unholiest of sights will fall before us.

    The P13: Demonic Plantation

The Mimigas are brainwashed. They know not of what the Doctor plans. Those that do are locked away for experimentations. Cthulhu has appeared yet again, proving further more that he isn't an ordinary human. Curly's with him, but she is as we were such a short time ago. A fabled mushroom, the Ma Pignon, is said to return the memories of those who suffer Amnesia. Sue's mother is here, building a rocket.

If we are to end the Doctor's reign we must finish the rocket and help Curly. With the completion of P14: Sakamoto's Rocket we could ride it up towards our final challenge. But to save Curly we must find a way to the mushrooms, who only reside in but one place.

The final challenge is said to be the home of the Red Demon, the Red Ogre. He lies within a chamber with the pathway to it guarded by spikes, hellish bats and critters aswell as puddles and drops of lava everywhere. It would take all of our skills to surpass the Red Demon's lair. But can this really be P15: The Final Cave?

Going out of story telling mode setting a second. You may have noticed I wasted time after the Final Cave and didn't go into the next area. There's a reason for this.

There's three bosses coming up. Misery and the Doctor. The Doctor has two forms.

I want someone to suggest a weapon to use against a boss. One suggestion per person. If you suggest the Missile Launcher and I run out of ammo I will default to the Spur.

So, Three suggestions can be made. I'll do the recording at either 08:00 GMT tomorrow or 16:00 GMT in the afternoon of tomorrow (depending on responses, but I heavily doubt anyone bar Killjoy will reply.)

So this is it, the final stretch. I have yet to die (except in the practice run in the Final Cave but that's allowed) and hopefully I might try and get the best ending...

RE: Cave story: One Life Edition.

I seem to remember missiles working pretty well against the Doctor. Let's go with those.

EDIT: Wow, I forgot how tough the Final Cave was. I can see why you wanted to do the practice runs.
