    Old Christmas Shows and Movies

Do you like to watch the old Christmas Shows and Movies? I remember being a kid, and I couldn't wait for those animated shows to come on, like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, etc. I loved the animation.

Of course, now you can probably watch them any time you want, if you can find them. We used to have to wait, schedule around it, and only get to see it once a year.

Did you watch these or others as a kid? Do you still like to watch them?

I've no doubt mentioned this before, but I don't think anything will ever top the magic of The Snowman which I watched (and sometimes still do) every Christmas as a young boy.

Seriously, if you haven't seen this it's a must, especially to watch with kids since as shown above it's on YouTube free.

Can't wait for How the Grinch that Stole Christmas. The cartoon not the Ron Howard/Jim Carry one.
We are all insane, we just act normal for the sake of others.

This is certainly a blast from the past! I remember my mom introducing me to this short when I was very young and found it interesting. I always found the song that played in the middle of that show to be haunting when I first heard it.

I'm not a big Christmas special watcher. Don't have a problem with it but it's not something I go out of my way to watch. When I go up to my parents for Christmas, it's pretty common to catch my father watching A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim on TV. Some good stuff. When I was little I did like the Disney version that had Scrooge McDuck and I remember the part with Pete as The Ghost of Christmas future freaking me out.

Hmmm... I don't remember this one. Thanks, I'll have to watch it at least once now. I'm sure the kiddos will enjoy it.

Oh, yeah, I love that one. Definitely the original cartoon and not the movie. Now I'm gonna have that song stuck in my head (even though I'm not quite sure of some of those words, lol).

One of my favorites from when I was a kid was The Year Without A Santa Claus (1974). It was already older by the time I watched it but still a classic for me. I found it on Youtube. Does anyone else remember this one?
