    Thoughts on documentaries?

Personally, I love documentaries if they are about something that I love. In my case, that'd be space or the universe, or simply theories with antimatter or darkmatter, as I simply love watching them and could watch them hours upon hours.

Do you watch documentaries a lot? If so, what sort of documentaries do you watch and how come you're so interested in them?

In general, I really like documentaries, and on just about any topic. (Netflix is pretty nice to have for that reason alone.) I think one of the reasons I enjoy them is because as biased or objective each may be attempting to be, for the most part documentaries are informative: I think that's why as an American I like them, simply because our TV programming, movies, etc. just aren't like that very often lol (hell, even our news outlets aren't informative anymore, it's all about 'the customer is always right' and everything on TV is just to cater to a particular demographic...it's why we have to turn to the BBC for, like, actual news nowadays rofl, but that's for another thread).
No one's gonna' give you a map. You've gotta' walk your own path.

Yeah, I've watched a good few about all kinds of topics. While I'm not a big BBC fan they sure know how to make quality documentaries, with Blue Planet being a favourite and (if I remember right) Blue Planet 2 was broadcast recently. I think I'll watch both of them in the near future back-to-back. I'm subscribed to lots of YouTube channels about strange things.

Actually, my media box currently has a documentary series about women serial killers on it. It's quite a fascinating topic since it isn't well documented.
