    What is your favourite movie?

I've never come across a favorite movie thread in this section, and I mean, it's supposed to be one of the top threads. So what is your favourite movie? Personally, I like sci-fi and action movies, preferably one by Tom Cruise or Matt Damon. One of my absolutely favourite movies however, was Interstellar. Interstellar is a sci-fi movie, where earth is running out of food, and they have to look for a new planet, a lot of time travel and stuff is involved, and what they don't know, is that the person that gave them the mission, never intended for them to come back.

I like Sci-Fi too. It is not my top genre though.I have no favourite movie of all time, but I would say my favourite movie in 2017 was Baywatch. One of the top movies I loved it was that my favourite actor, Dwayne Johnson was among the main characters. The plot was pretty simple but unlike most movies, the characters really played their roles perfectly, most of them did anyway. Zac Efron played the arrogant athlete turned humble perfectly, and that was the best part, I think. Priyanka Chopra did not convince me that she was actually Victoria Leeds, the badass DrugLord, but in general, the movie was hot.

How amazing that you like Sci-Fi as well, haha! Baywatch, huh? I haven't actually seen that movie. What is it about really? Dwayne Johnson is a great actor, I love him and he's been in so many great movies.

It is hard to pick just one movie but two of my favorites that are up there are Donnie Darko and 300. Kind of different from one another but I have always enjoyed random movies that make you think as well as "history/action" time films with a twist of sci-fi.

I have too many to list but here are just a few.

Army of Darkness is the biggest one. I love it's dorky, corny sense of humor. When don't really get movies much like this anymore, which is a shame since it seems like no one appreciates camp humor anymore. I don't think that there has been a movie that embraces that quite like Army of Darkness does. Plus, who doesn't like Bruce Campbell mugging it up?

Another favorite of mine is Blade Runner. To this day, I still consider it one of the most beautiful movies that I have ever seen. The movie is so atmospheric and it's probably the definitive movie that deals with the theme of whether or not robots can have a soul. That, and the music by Vengelis is wonderfully dreamlike. It's a shame that it doesn't get brought up more often when people discuss what the best movie score is.

    Starwind55,

I haven't actually seen either of those movies. Are they worth watching considering I'm more of an action type guy and sci-fi?

Star Trek films represents the best in Science Fiction, while John Wick films, shows how action films should have been made. I love these two film series, they both have fast paced, non stop action that keeps you wanting some more.
