Do you have a hard time finding things you enjoy?

I seem to have this problem. Movies, TV, series... I just can't find things I like.

I know when I was younger, I watched WAY more TV, maybe I grew out of it in general? I just seem to rather be playing a video game or watching something on Youtube these days.

Anyone else have trouble finding things you enjoy on TV or movie/series wise?

Nope. It's just a matter of looking beyond the mainstream fluff to find the good stuff. I look at a number of sites to see what movies are coming soon that might catch my eye or if an old favorite is finally coming out on Blu Ray. You might be doing some more digging in some places than others but if you if you keep your ear to the ground and look around, you can find some good stuff.

Since I'm an avid movie fan, it's not really hard for me to enjoy certain movies or series. In fact, there are tons of amazing movies out there that I don't know which one to watch first, same thing with TV series. My hubby and I watch movies almost every night and it's a good way to relieve stress for me. I enjoy most movies particularly mind blowing ones because it makes me brain work while watching

Sometimes I do. It's probably a consequence of the ever-growing library of films/TV, especially if you're willing to go back a few decades. If you set high standards you'll have a hard time since the bottom of this barrel is much wider than the top.

I usually have no trouble with TV. If there isn't something that interested me in the past there's usually an Amazon or Netflix original that's worth checking out. Some of the mainstream fluff are very well made, like Game of Thrones. It's been consistently better than The Walking Dead for example. Films are a bit more difficult. It's easier to pick a decent-ish TV show because you know you don't have to make any extra decisions (unless it's bad and you drop it) until you're done with all the episodes. If you intend to watch films regularly you have to allocate usually over double the time of a TV episode and each time you'll need to find something well received.

I agree that while there are plenty of mainstream gems there are plenty of stinkers too. Apparently the Emoji Movie is doing very well right now. And somebody once questioned why I want to obliterate emojis from the mobile app? Having said that I'm often disappointed by indie films, especially if they're artsy-fartsy crap.

My answer is sometimes. There are times when there are so many things to watch that I can't squeeze them all in. There are other times when I spend more time searching than watching. Summer is often a slow time for TV series. They usually pick up again in the fall. So, in the summer I rewatch old series or catch up on movies.

Also, there are times that I can't make up my mind. I just have to say, "heck with it," and give something a try. If it sucks, I can always turn it off and try something else.
