How many hours a week do you spent watching TV or movies?

When I was growing up, I likely was spending about 3 hours a day in front of the TV. That slowly got phased out and for awhile, I didn't really watch anything on TV. Once I started using computers more, I began to watch things on there so I think that should be accounted for.

I think I spend about 10 hours a week watching shows and things on YouTube. Considering I once watched 21 hours worth a week, that isn't too bad. Sometimes I watch less if nothing is on.

What about online stuff? If I only did TV, then that would make it about an hour a week for me. lol I had to include things I watch online or what would be the point lol

On average I'd probably say 2-3 hours a day. It's difficult to figure out because sometimes I go up to a week without watching anything, but I also binge-watch sometimes too. Most TV shows aren't so easily digestible so I'd only find myself watching a couple of most shows' episodes in a day anyway.

When you throw YouTube into the mix the number increases significantly. I always thought of YouTube as something different though. Often I can watch things on YouTube on a different monitor, paying minimal attention to it. On the other hand it's mandatory for me to give TV shows/anime my full attention.

    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

Online isn't TV, they are two different beasts. Maybe I'm the only one who sees it this way.

I do not watch television, I only get to see a glimpse of it when I pass the living room, and my mom is watching. If YouTube counts, I must say I watch almost 4 hours of it a day, on weekends it would be all day. To sum it all up, maybe 40 hours a week.

I don't care for TV by and large. The internet is much more open and there are fewer restrictions on what you can and can't say. I usually go to the cinema only once or twice a year, mainly because I either haven't got the cash on hand to pay for tickets and concessions; or because nothing seems to interest me.

Going to cinemas is a big waste of money today, except if and only if it is required, like for instance if your date is asking for it. There are a lot of websites on the internet which I would not mention here where you can download or even stream recent and upcoming films entirely for free.
