Thread: John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum

So everyone was pumped for the avengers but as far as I am concerned, the real even movie of the summer is John Wick 3. I loved the shit out of the first 2 movies with it's great action choreography, stylish visuals, camera work that allows you to be able to see what the hell is going on and Keanu just being an all around boss. I consider John Wick to be the best action movie franchise to come out in years so I was pumped for 3. I watched it over the weekend and it doesn't disappoint. The action is as exquisite as ever and even has some really fun sequences like a knife fight against a bunch of goons, John Wick weaponizing a horse and a bunch of other badass shit that I dare not spoil. Keanu is still rocking on in the role and even characters from the past movies join in on the action. I was grinning the whole movie and I'm actually seriously considering watching it again in the theater. If you love more classical style action flicks or enjoyed the previous two movies, then you're in for one hell of a ride with this one.

I want to see this because despite all the "no-go-casting" for anything that requires "drama" (most infamously would be his stint in Dracula (1992) in which we get a HORRIBLE accent), Keanu Reeves is undoubtedly fucking amazing when it comes to action and really lets it show. So yeah, when/if I get a shot (haha) I'll try to see this one.

For what it's worth, however, the last movie I saw in a cinema was Alien: Covenant, and I left the place thinking "yeah that happened".

The thing is, I don't watch many movies now (at least during theatrical release), because I'm too fucking lazy. That and it's close to £20 for a ticket; fuck that for a game of soldiers. I'd like to see more, but I'm not shelling out that much.

John Wick 3 was fun the first half.

But the second half was so-so
