Movies that Have a Good Sequel(s)

We all have seen bad sequels to good movies. There are soooo many to list them would be damn near infinite. But are there sequels that are good? I can think of literally a hand full that I've seen that were good.

    Alien and Aliens
The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day
    the Austin Powers Trilogy
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight
    Back to the Future Trilogy

If guys can think of others please share.

Toy Story, definitely. Toy Story 2 is good, but Toy Story 3 is amazing. It may even be better than the original.

Ya know, Kung Fu Panda 2 is an underrated classic.
Much heart, much feels. That whole series has no right to be as good as it is.

And yes, Terminator 2 is amazing.
One of the rare moments where the second film is legitimately better than the first.

Hey! Terminator 1 is REAL, man. Terminator 1 could f*ckin' HAPPEN! (Just kidding, though I feel like I'm one of the few people who prefers the gritty dystopian feel of T1.)

You often find when it comes to movie trilogies that the 2nd film tends to be the weakest (or least regarded) out of the three, that isn't always the case though. The Empire Strikes Back, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (without a doubt the best of the Mel Gibson films) and Batman: The Dark Knight come to mind. I also enjoyed For a Few Dollars More the most out of the Dollars trilogy, but that's just me.

The Godfather Part II is, dare I say it (though it pains me), even better than the first film.

Dead Man's Chest was a good sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean...not as good as Curse of the Black Pearl, but pretty good.

And if it's okay throwing in planned-out trilogies, The Two Towers is still one of my favorite movies ever, and The Empire Strikes Back is god-tier compared to all the other Star Wars installments.

Oh, uno mas: Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence is one of the most underrated masterpieces I've ever seen (considering how well-known the first G.I.T.S. film is). I mean, there's just no way possible anything following G.I.T.S. could top it, and were it not for Innocence I'd comfortably say nothing could conceivably come close: but Innocence measures up, almost as incredible as its predecessor...and them's some BIG shoes to fill.

Huh, I need to give Ghost in the Shell 2 a chance then.
Because that is certainly a vision worth revisiting.

Maybe not as good as the first but Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. Come on that's just pure gold
