    The Office

Who doesn't love Michael Scott? Based on the original British sitcom of the same name, The Office is a pure delight thanks to its documentary-style filmmaking, smart stories, and of course, Steve Carell. This series follows the hilarious antics of the boss, Scott and the rest of the employees of the made-up company Dunder Mifflin.

One of the more unique things about The Office is the way it can bring you out of your worst moods with its well-crafted jokes, hysterical plot, and well-developed characters, this show takes you on an unforgettable journey that will leave you hosting a binge-watch marathon with your BFF and maybe more. In short, it's hard to argue that The Office is not comic gold.

I like the memes but never watched the show. Is that bad? LOL

I know a lot of people who loved the show too but I could never get into it. Back when it started, I really didn't watch anything though. I go through periods of not watching any kind of tv shows and then I am watching like 6 at once. lol I may give it a chance now. It ended in like 2013 right?

Yes, the final episode aired last 2013. It has nine seasons with the first one only having six but the succeeding ones averaging 20 or more. Now, that Halloween is coming, I'm sure you might have some time in your hands to binge-watch so good luck!

I never seen either, but I have seen clips of both and I say the original is way better... then again, I'm British and might be biased.

Yeah, a lot of people say the British one (original) is better. The UK office is a mockumentary, and the US office is a sitcom. The UK office was created to be a very believable documentary with very realistic characters and filming style like if you went into your office with a camcorder one day. The U.K. Office's genius is the realism. While the US office has more slapstick comedic entertainment value, When you combine some of the shocking scenes in the UK office with its authenticity and unacted, direct nature, that's when you realize why it is so hilarious. Neither series is terrible, they're only very different.

I've always been curious about The Office. I love The IT Crowd and I hate The Big Bang Theory, but have no idea if I'd like these.

    Good job they're on Netflix.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

Why do you hate Sheldon Cooper and the gang? I love that show, and I'm on its 10th season already.

I just think the humour's pretty flat. This shows it best:

Give The IT Crowd a try. I suppose in the end it's down to one's comedy preferences.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
