What if I told you that ever since 2010, a brave man by the name of Matthew Gafford took it upon himself to make a childhood dream come true and start working on a cartoon series based on one of Nintendo's more under-appreciated (at least up until recently) IPs?

Not like this:

But more like this:
And this:

There's a very finite amount of stuff that Gafford is willing to release so as not to spoil the finished product, but from what I've seen and how his work on the series has evolved over the years, not to mention that Star Fox 64 was the first non-handheld game I ever bought with my own money after renting it from Blockbuster almost nonstop, I am SUPER stoked for this. One thing that really stands out so far with Gafford's style of production is his animation. Gafford prides himself on going back to basics and using full frame-by-frame animation as opposed to using motion tweening. This along with Gafford's drawing style really gives off a sort of late 80's to early 90's feel to his work, which I can totally dig. I only found out about this project last week, and already the hype is real.

I realize it's a lot of information to digest, but if you're a fan of the StarFox series, by all means give this a look-see and let me know what you think!
