    Anyone watch Fargo?

So I started the series the other night. I am a bit late to be watching it considered they are several seasons in but it grabbed my interest so I decided to give it a try. I think I watched 3 episodes now and I gotta say, they really throw you in full swing from the start. I am sure it will slow down though, most TV series that do this do.

    Anyone else watching Fargo?

The first season is great. The second, I can't remember it being that good but to each their own. I don't know if there was anything after that.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

There are 3 seasons. I think the 4th comes out next year. I am hoping it doesn't drop off too much in the second season or I will lose interest pretty fast lol

I won't go into it too much, but the second one is a different story. While I'm sure there things in common, I don't think I finished it and I'm completely good with the first season's story.

tl;dr: It's one of those shows that allows a season-long time investment without feeling a big need to continue.

Ah well, that is good to know. I mean if I don't like season 2, I could probably just skip it then and see if season 3 is any better. I know it is based on a true story but I figured it would follow the same people throughout the series. Then again, I don't know the actual "true story" to the series so I am sure it is more complex than I am thinking.

It really isn't. That's just a parody of these messages. After all, the series is a black comedy. It's hilarious how many people actually believe Fargo is real, which would include my dad.

Really? Well now I like it, even more, LOL I should have known better considering it is on FX over here and they are known for shows like Archer and Always Sunny in Philidelphia.

So the story is not based on anything at all? I mean there was a movie in the '90s titled Fargo as well and supposedly based on the same thing.

Apparently some Chinese woman thought that the treasure hunt in the Fargo movie is real, hunted it and got herself killed in the process, which in turn inspired the "true story" message. May not actually be true.

Yikes! I want to believe something like that couldn't happen but looking around today at what people do, I wouldn't be suprised anymore.

I never actually saw the movie, I just knew about it. I did just watch the trailer and now I see the resemblance in the series. The Minnesota accent is like America's version of the Canadian accent lol

I lost interest in season 3. I likely won't even finish it. LOL

I am looking forward to season 4 though just based on the cast and the timeline. There will be a lot of drama. I have always been a fan of Chris Rock as well.
