As I understand in the US the word "cookie" extends far beyond that and includes a lot of what we call "biscuits". And as I also understand, biscuits in the US are soft.

Anyway, considering it a "chocolate chip cookie" as above I'd choose brownies. Not much beats fresh and warm brownies with a cold glass of milk.

Mountain Dew or grape soda (any brand of your choosing)?
Naw, only the weirdos call biscuits "cookies" I actually thought before this that it was more of a British thing haha!

Going to give this a bump and start with two new foods. One of which I have been craving lately but don't have the stuff to make

    Nachos or Tacos?

Good call. This is a decent thread and Tenrei is ignored a lot these years. (Which is odd, back in the Outlaw Star UK days I introduced a Tenrei curfew because so many people were posting here instead of the other forums.) Anyways...

I can't truthfully answer that, though I guess I can because I love tortilla chips and the idea of melted cheese on them is nice. I haven't had nachos or tacos. We don't usually have those things in the UK. (Probably not sharing a border with Mexico has something to do with it.) Therefore I choose nachos.

    Black grapes or green grapes?

(SO to Korin for bringing back the classics!)

Green grapes, ez pz. I find black/red grapes to be too sweet for me, which could be related to my penchant for alcohol as opposed to sugar-packed [soda] pop. I also find that the skins of green grapes have more of a crunch than black grapes, which is always welcome. Granted, green grapes do bruise easier than black grapes, but I find the bruising is a better indicator of when/if they'll spoil.

    Nintendo or Genesis?
A boy has the right to dream. There are endless possibilities stretched out before him. What awaits him down the path he will then have to choose; the boy doesn't always know. At some point the boy then becomes an adult, and learns what he was able to become. Joy and sadness will forever accompany this. He is confronted with a choice; when this happens, does he bid his past farewell in his heart? Once a boy becomes an adult, he can no longer go back to being a boy; the boy is now a man. Only one thing can be said: "A boy has the right to dream.". For those endless possibilities are stretched out before him.

We must remember...all men were once boys.

Ahhh, Ohio. Makes sense. To be fair, they call it pop in Western Pennsylvania as well, but only as far East as Pittsburgh.

I'll take Genesis, please. Buuuuut I think the idea of this thread is to choose between 2 foods so I'll swing back to that, although I prefer the idea of a video game version:

If an American posts next...Manhattan Clam Chowder or New England Clam Chowder?

For Euros(gotta think of dishes I think every country has access to): gyros or kebabs?

Double-checks thread title Well that's embarrassing. My bad.

Tough call here. I'm gonna lean toward Manhattan-style, since I find clams to be on the decadent side when it comes to seafood; they need the brightness of the tomato-based broth to help balance the dish out. Which leads to a nice seque:

    Pasta sauce: marinara-based or alfredo-based?

Marinara all day every day. Not really fond of alfredo.

    Trix or Fruity Pebbles?

Fruity pebbles but ONLY if its the offbrand ones like dino bites, theyre just sooo much better imo. I dont know if its just getting older but big brand cereals have just gotten worse as time went on.

    Lasagna or spaghetti?

Ugh, after working in an Italian restaurant for five years, I'm sick of both . Though if I had to choose, I'd go lasagna. Lasagna feels more like an entree than spaghetti, and there's just so much more flavor opportunities to bring to the table with lasagna. I remember cooking lasagna for my parents' birthday with locally-cultivated sausage and ricotta cheese made from scratch. Despite my previous Italian food opinion, that dish was amazing! SO to Brad Leone and America's Test Kitchen for the ricotta recipe ft. Binging with Babish.

Though to keep with the Italian theme, how about pizza: New-York style (thin crust) or Chicago style (extra thicc crust)?

I never had New York Style pizza (Unless you count Pizza Hut's Big New Yorker pizza from way back in the 90s. That shit was good) so I have to go with Chicago deep dish pizza. I remember a grocery store nearby used to sell Gino's East deep dish pizza. Man, that was delicious. Sadly, they don't seem to sell them anymore.

Anywho, corn bread or banana bread?
