Anyone want to play Empire Earth?

Empire earth is just like age of empires, I think it's even developed by the same people. It's about base building, resource collecting and of course war. The difference is, it spans many different periods of time, from prehistoric civilization, all the way into the future.

if you want to play online, buy the game, or download it (i wont tell you where to download it from, but it's easy to find if you know where to look.)

Patch the game for online play using the Omega 1.3 patch, found here:

    Middle Warriors Omega Patch

Download the GameRanger client, because the original servers for the game are no longer up.

After that, you can message me for a game, and i'll make a room for us.

RE: Anyone want to play Empire Earth?

It's like an RTS, right? I think this might be more up Baron's (a member here) street than mine. He loves RTS, whereas whilst I can play it, I always end up getting absolutely owned by those with a good level of RTS experience. (I'm very much a newbie to the genre.)

Still, there's a first time (second I guess) for everything so I might be willing to join. XD
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

I'm quite noobish too, to be honest. although, as long as they dont tank rush, I can usually put up a fight.
And yeah, you should try it, it would be fun. Let baron know, we'll have a 3-way.... not that kind of 3-way.

RE: Anyone want to play Empire Earth?

I should bloody well hope not.

I played EE a few years ago, can't say I really enjoyed it all that much though. From what I experienced, the morale aspect of the game ruined it for me. Once someone had the upper hand in a fight, that was it - morale dictated that they were going to steamroll an enemy pretty much regardless of what they tried doing to prevent it.

I much prefer C&C or AoE over it, where the only morale involved is that of the actual players instead of some dictated mathematical nonsense, and where the momentum in a Skirmish can go back and forth almost indefinitely.
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"
