Am I the only one who doesn't get app games?

I have played only 4 or 5 since having a smart phone. I think I got my first smart phone in 2010. That is 9 years. I see and hear about people playing them all the time but I would much rather play on a console or at my computer. If I am ever out, I am never in a position where I need to waste time and if I am, I typically will browse the internet and read articles.

Am I the only one who doesn't get app games or have much interest in them?

Ehhhh, I play a few but very casually. Like i login everyday, watch an ad for the daily bonus, and log back out. I've kept up with maybe 3 this way in all my time with a smartphone. Mobile/handheld gaming is such a sub-par experience compared to gaming on a PC or console & large screen, in my experience.

I sometimes play ports of non-mobile games, for instance the ports of Sonic for Android/iOS. But I also play a few "app" games. I'm very picky about freemium games as I think a lot of them are bloatware or downright ridiculous with their amount of advertisements. If I'm going to play a mobile game, the majority of the time I'd go for those you pay for upfront.

I can understand why people wouldn't want to play them, but they can be a good way to kill a little time. Some of my most-played ones are quiz show games as I enjoy testing my knowledge, learning a little from them and having some fun too.

"Nothing new there. Anything going on at [site]? Nothing much. What about e-mail? Oh, something from the supermarket."

They're the kinds of things I end up thinking if I decide to use my phone for general surfing. It usually becomes a big loop of procrastination that isn't much more helpful than gaming.

    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"
