    Club Penguin

This is going to be a huge throwback thread

Did anyone play Club Penguin when they were younger? And if so how great was the game? Unfortunately they recently closed down the website and online game because apparently it just wasn't getting enough traffic to be able to afford keeping the game online. It's a real shame to be honest because the game was a huge part in a lot of younger years and it won't be available for kids now to experience that. They have brought out the "same game" on mobile called Club Penguin Island. My younger sister did download it to see how it was and I have to say it's just not the same at all. The graphics are pretty good but it's just not the same old Club Penguin

I missed out on that penguin lifestyle, sadly.

Though it reminds me of things like Runescape, Gaiaonline, Maplestory, and Neopets.
Man, gotta love that early thousands internets. Twas a special time.

It was a great time for us. Shame that these new generations will know the fun we had on those games whilst talking on applications like MSN Messenger. Now kids don't know the struggle of having to communicate with friends. Programs like Discord and Skype just make it so easy for them. Runescape sadly seems to have gotten less popular now and I'm surprised to see Neopets still online. Did you ever played a game called Panfu? It was quite similar to Club Penguin and I just read that it had too closed, in November 2016 . It's so sad to see all these great games closing.
