    Consoles You Own

Yes, there's a thread about trying to push the best console [or so it seemed when I read it...The old 'Console Wars' thread from a couple years ago]. But in general, what consoles do you own? Do you own a lot, a few, or all of the ones from just one company? I don't mind including mobile consoles such as the DS and whatnot too~

In my case, in my home/storage we have....
    Sega Genesis
2 N64s [cousin gave me his when I had one oops]
    Gamecube
    Wii
    XBox 360
    PS3 [backwards compatible version ]
    2 GBA SDs
    2 DS Lites
2 DSi [one regular, one XL]
    3DS XL
    2 PSPs [one's broken oops]

Lots and lots of stuff oops. What about you guys? I'm not the only nut...Am I?

    A nice array!

No worries, you are not a nut.
Even if you were, you'd be a macadamia nut, and those are delicious.

I'm so jealous of your backwards compatible PS3.
I had one myself, then it go the YOD [yellow light of death].
The replacement I got was not backwards compatible, I miss it so.

    So sad...

    Myself? I'm rocking the following:
    PS3
    PS2
    DS Lite

Short list. However, I'm hoping to get my hands on a PS4 in the not so distant future.
....just as soon as I fall into a pile of free money that is.
    Still, the dream lives on.

A pile of free money would be awesome! Dad and I have been debating what our next system will be when we're not fighting to pay our bills. He's leaning towards PS4 or XBox One so far, but even the Wii U seems nice. But I'm afraid to get a Wii U since they're not likely to also include backwards compatibility of gamecube. And I still dote on some of those games.

I've had to change the memory disk or something on my PS3 before. It was a sad day, losing all my hours of Rune Factory. ;-; But at least I can still use it now that it's been changed. I'm more shocked we haven't had major issues with our XBox 360 yet! Usually microsoft hates us. xD

But you know what I really want? A dreamcast. Sega dreamcast had the original versions of my favorite GC game [which turned into it] and the originals were more dungeon crawling. Darnit why did I have a genesis instead. *cries*

Owning several consoles is the way to go for any serious gamer. Some of the systems that I own are as follows : Sega Mega Drive, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, SNK Neo Geo, Neo Geo Pocket Color, NES, SNES, Game Boy Color, N64, GameCube, Wii, DS, 3DS, PS1, PS2, PS3 and will probably get a PS4 soon. I also own several older PC's to play older PC titles without any compatibility issues. Emulation is great, and it works quite well for the most part but there can be games that won't play right or at all in some cases.

I only have my PS3, and geing mainly a PC gamer even that has quite little use. For the time being I'm mainly only playing TTG's games, every two or three millenia when they bother to release one episode, that is...

I used to own PS2 and the original Xbox when they were hotter, and I played them a lot, but nowadays I don't play that much in general (or well, I guess that's debatable) so having more that one console would be just a waste of time and space for me.

I can relate to Agememnon somewhat. The PS3 is and was my console of choice, and I played StarCraft almost religiously back in the early 2000's,but since then I've been playing mostly indie stuff like FTL or Awesomenauts, though I do get on Garry's Mod from time to time. I did spend a crapton of time on Shovel Knight when it released; can't wait for the next DLC to come out soon. . Beyond that, as a predominantly retro gamer I get my 8 and 16-bit fix through emulation

As far as other home consoles go, I spent a fair amount of resources on getting an upscaling rig done on my SNES. Before you ask, upscaling revolves around bypassing your standard composite video signal (you know, the yellow, white, and red cords used for video output?) in favor of a better, sharper picture through the use of an RGB Scart cable. I'll spare you all the details as to how this works, but it involves getting a SCART cable, which is a special kind of European video cable which plugs out of the SNES's multi-out, plugging that into a retro upscaler which converts RGB into HDMI, then plugging THAT into an HD TV. It sounds like a lot of work and money - which it kinda is - but being able to play NBA Jam and Killer Instinct in 720p is jaw-droppingly awesome.
A boy has the right to dream. There are endless possibilities stretched out before him. What awaits him down the path he will then have to choose; the boy doesn't always know. At some point the boy then becomes an adult, and learns what he was able to become. Joy and sadness will forever accompany this. He is confronted with a choice; when this happens, does he bid his past farewell in his heart? Once a boy becomes an adult, he can no longer go back to being a boy; the boy is now a man. Only one thing can be said: "A boy has the right to dream.". For those endless possibilities are stretched out before him.

We must remember...all men were once boys.

MY PC. Kidding, though it's my main gaming platform these days.

I have a PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii but I don't play those that much anymore, with the exception of Destiny for PS3 (looking for a PS4 asap lol).

My other main platform for entertainment is my Nintendo 3DS, Monster Hunter for hours .

I've got my Five year old 360 and my Wii U at my place. Alongside with my laptop, don't know what else I need right now.

I only have a slim PS3 which I haven't touch in over a year and only used for FIFA, a slim PS2 which I haven't touched in even longer than a decade (still works though, to my surprise), and a PS1 that stopped working, naturally, but I still keep it for the sake of nostalgia. I hate throwing away things that hold so many memories.

I also have a Nintendo 3DS XL, but I might sell it and get a New 3DS XL since it's more powerful and will have exclusives coming up, but is only $50 more in price. Other than that I just have my good ol' PC.

    I have:

    Xbox One
    Playstation 3

I did have an Xbox 360 with a load of games but I was forced to sell it last year as I needed the money. I have, or had, a PSP with a couple of games that I think my brother now has.
