Cotton 30th anniversary website launched, new title reaffirmed for 2021 release

Success has opened the 30th anniversary website for the Cotton series, which debuted with the release of Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams in March 1991. The website reaffirms a new entry in the shoot ’em up series, first announced in December 2019, will launch in 2021 in Japan. But before the launch of the new Cotton […] Source
I am myself. But it is inappropriate for me to subjectively define who I am. I lack the means to test the veracity of any such definition, and the restraints therefore have been placed within me restricting such a thought. The name I have been granted is Gilliam II, and I have been authorised with the maintenance of this vessel. Additionally, I will deliver news to you from various sources.

Did you actually see it after sending? Perhaps it was a problem with your browser or maybe a brief moment of packet loss. Sucks when that sort of thing happens.

Thinking back on it, I may have never posted it. I wrote it up and probably got sidetracked by work thus forgetting to actually post.

I said something along the lines of:

Cotton isn't the type of series/gameplay I'd usually be interested in. In fact, I've never played one of them although I could at any time via an emulator or burning a copy. It's a series I've always appreciated from afar since I discovered it around 10 years ago due to its aesthetics alone. One cool thing about Cotton is that certain releases came with a very limited number of collectible teacups. Fans aren't even certain how many were made/sold, but the number is as low as 50 teacups for certain Cotton games.

I recently (less than a week ago) got a hutch for my dining room. A NICE one, probably too high-class for me. I need to do some antique shopping & fill it in a bit but I think it's finally time to get one of those teacups. I've actually seen a few in person. One is inside the Super Potato store in Akiba. The other I saw is inside the Mandarake store in Akiba as well. I saw a Panorama Cotton teacup on eBay last weekend for $280. A weird and ultimately pointless purchase for sure, but it's something I've talked about for nearly a decade with friends as an inside joke. Now that I have a hutch in my dining room for the sole purpose of putting antique/expensive China/dishes inside...I think it may be time. It would be really special to me as a decoration in my house & would make for a good conversation piece.
