I think the lawsuit is in Poland? Not sure, but that's what the video I watched implied. I consider class-action lawsuits and jumping to legal challenges to be an American thing so maybe it's originating from here. I could do the research and find out but I can't say that I care enough. Their games usually release as a broken mess & this time is no different. I don't know why their fans were expecting anything else. All of my takes on this subject are biased because I don't like CD Projekt or their games. They have (or rather, had) a reputation for being such a consumer-friendly company that I never understood. I think it comes from so many folks seeing CD Projekt act like a normal game developer alongside news about EA/Activision/Blizzard/Ubisoft and it led them to think that CD Projekt is a savior of some sort.
They routinely release busted games then take years to fix them, show off misleading trailers to collect pre-orders and delay games that they knew full-well wouldn't be ready in time for the date that they were claiming. That's not even to mention the whole "crunch-time" debacle. I personally don't care if devs employ crunch-time tactics, but that's another point against them being the Jesus of game developers. There are a lot of devs that are way waaaaay worse than CD Projekt to be fair, I just wanted to argue against any of the recent news being surprising.
People who were looking forward to this game got caught up in the hype and then their circle-jerk got BTFO. It was a learning experience for blind fans and hopefully for CD Projekt as well to stop doing this kind of shit.
