What games are you playing right now?

Just as the title says, what games are you guys currently playing?

Resident Evil 4 was recently re-released (again) on current-gen platforms. I'm slightly more impressed this time, since it seems some of the textures have been outright redone! Capcom have actually put work into one of their ports, can you believe it? Even then, hard to say if that's anything new from the Steam release. Regardless, a good game is a good game and RE4 certainly is that, even if every Resident Evil since then has been... medicore, at best.

Other than that, I've been emulating some old Super Nintendo games. Zelda: ALttP and Super Metroid are classics to be sure, but what about Super Ghouls'n Ghosts? Seriously, this game is kicking my ass all over the place. I can't even get past the first level! If anyone has any tips for me, I would be very grateful.

League of Legends, ARK: Survival evolved, Overwatch, occasionally WoW when I feel like sitting down to monotony for a while.

I played 40 minutes or so of Final Fantasy VIII today. It's a bit of a learning curve, but I think I'm getting the hang of it, slowly but surely. I haven't been playing many games in general besides really simple silly ones on my tablet, like Pokemon Go. Which will end soon, since I'm on a tablet meaning unless I can find a PokeStop with wi-fi access...I'm pretty much doomed after the next couple pokeballs are gone.

RE4 is fantastic. I'm actually playing through a Professional run (again), and recording it lol.
I'm not very good at the game, but that's part of the fun.
Still, it's a great game, and even after all this time, the Regenerators and Iron Maiedens still creep me out.

As for me, I bought The Last Remnant on Steam during the winter sale last year, and finally started playing it.
It's pretty good. Plus, Johnny Yong Bosch voices the main character, and that's always a plus.

I haven't been spending a great deal of time on games lately, but I did start playing Grandia II again, which was a game I loved during my childhood and I'm really happy it came to Steam. That's pretty much it right now, other than the odd game of 100% Orange Juice. Though speaking of Resident Evil, I want to play the remake of the original game again as I got it on Steam. It's weird though since I remember it being much easier when I played it at a younger age.

@pseudohippie: I'm not very good at it either. Well, there WAS a time where I could finish the whole thing with a knife, but they've changed the controls so much that it feels really awkward. It uses the right stick to aim by default, for instance. What's up with that?

And oh man, the regenerators. Aside from the odd jump scare, nothing has creeped me out in RE as much as those things.

@Mantis: REmake is great! It has to be one of, if not the best remake of a game there has ever been. What happened to the old Capcom we knew? Maybe Shinji Mikami's absence has something to do with their decline in recent years, not so different from the situation at Konami when you think about it.

Also, fun fact that I discovered since I know you were playing FO4: did you know the chef robot Takahashi is actually voiced by Shinji Mikami? 'Nan-ni shimasho-ka?'

Oh, I almost forgot about Fallout 4 since it's been ages. At least it feels that way. Let's hope Capcom doesn't spiral downwards like Konami did, though I haven't been the biggest Capcom fan in recent years.

Ah, the Resident Evil guy? Wow, I had no idea. That's pretty cool. I always liked his noodles.

My friend tried a knife only run...he basically stopped after Salazar. Just got too be too annoying lol. But I agree about REmake. It's fantastic. The visuals on the GameCube version are fantastic. It is sad you no longer get the lovely voice acting of the original, but it's still a great remake, to be sure.
Speaking of, I did a run of REmake a few years ago that my friend recorded, if anyone is interested.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I'm still playing a LOT of Overwatch. I'm level 65 right now. Can't wait for Sombra and that new map.

Haha, I didn't know you were one for Let's Plays hippie! Now that you mention it, an option to use the original PS1 voices would have been hilarious.

Overwatch is one of those games I'd like to play more of, but I just can't motivate myself to play it. Whenever I do, more often than not my team ends up getting badly thrashed and I lose my desire to play. That, and I'm still more of a TF2 guy.

I just love that the guy they got to voice Barry Burton was literally a guy they found off the street lol.
