Anyone know where to find Pokemon Alpha/Omega roms?

I usually don't have trouble with finding these roms but I can't for the life of me find them for these games.

I hope this is okay to ask here. I understand if links can't be shared. My husband and I wanted to play the games together and try one of those soul link challenges. It makes the game a lot more challenging and fun to play it with someone else.

    INNERNETZ!!

Just look for "pokemon alpha rom" and there it is. Not going to condone the idea or share the link for ***REASONS*** but there you go. Twenty seconds and I'm looking at a link for something I have no interest in, regardless of potential HURRR VIRUS hysteria. The world turns on!

And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

Well... I can't really go around posting links like those and Baron mostly summed it up. I wouldn't try the first Google result though. All sorts of crapware are out there on ROM sites...

Plus, Nintendo has really doubled down on the "legit" ROM sites which usually no longer host Nintendo ROMs. But of course, as is the nature of the internet, no company's products can escape the high seas entirely.

I bought the game so I have a clean conscience about it lol

I am just having trouble finding one that actually works. I found three and they don't work so unless I overlooked one, I am guessing there isn't one I can use. I know they have programs and randomizers for modded 3DS' but I am not spending all that money to get a modded one for one game.

I understand not wanting to share links too, no worries.

I'm in the same boat as the other posters above me, we can't share links to pirated software here (although it is legal in the USA if you own a copy you purchased, to my understanding). The best I can say is that I followed the same search as Baron and found them as well. It may not be the roms that are busted, but rather your hardware/emulator settings. I've been through many hours in the deepest dankest corners of Project 64 trying to get romhacks to work so I know as well as anybody that the out-of-the-box settings on most emulators aren't ideal for every scenario.

I'm not sure how well they can be emulated, considering they are late 3DS games. Like everyone else said, be careful of which emulators you use. I know there are a few custom ROMs of older Pokemon games that let you set up randomizers, and even Nuzlockes, but I've only ever seen people use older games. Mostly Generation 5 and back.
But if you do get a working one, post some updates here. I'd love to see how that goes

3DS Pokémon games are quite easy to emulate. Even my handheld GPD-WIN 2 (which pretty much has the same power as a lower-range to mid-range laptop) running Windows 10 can do that.

A more modern 3DS Pokémon game should be fine on any desktop system with a dedicated graphics card, or even integrated graphics usually depending on how well the game has been optimised by the emulator's developers. The main advantage to running Pokémon is that it's a turn-based game that doesn't require the hardware some other games will. I imagine you can emulate it fine, perhaps unless you're using a very low-end laptop.

Nowadays, most emulators run okay out of the box, particularly retro ones. It's not that difficult to tweak emulators either using guides if you need to. Citra is probably the emulator you're after. I haven't tried 3DS myself.

Although I wouldn't allow direct linking to piracy sites on the forum I don't see anything wrong with discussing it. Were it me, I'd use a private torrent tracker to get my ROMs or any software that would be far more likely to contain viruses on public trackers such as the "Bay" we all know of. Not to mention, public torrent sites are chockablock with harmful ads. I also exercise the same caution when it comes to typical sites that offer ROMs. There was EmuParadise that was decent... but then Nintendo did them in. While you'll probably be okay if you get the ROM from any old site nobody is immune.

Feel free to PM me if you want any guidance on how to use private torrent trackers. It's really not worth the risk doing these things other ways.
