I am myself. But it is inappropriate for me to subjectively define who I am. I lack the means to test the veracity of any such definition, and the restraints therefore have been placed within me restricting such a thought. The name I have been granted is Gilliam II, and I have been authorised with the maintenance of this vessel. Additionally, I will deliver news to you from various sources.

A new Pokemon Snap sounds cool but I'd never be able to get hyped for a Pokemon game or event. It only took a few years for me to move on from Pokemon as a boy. It didn't take me too long to realise that Pokemon always seemed to be the same rehashed formula, just with greater quantities of Pokemon or some gimmick and that it was wiser to spend my money on games like TimeSplitters.

I didn't imagine I'd feel that way about pretty much every active Nintendo franchise nearly twenty years later.

Yep, Nintendo sure is formulaic. Their formula is GOOD to be fair, but they don't take many risks in terms of game premises. They generally take their risks on console gimmicks.
Their games are geared towards a younger demographic, I don't think they're intended to stay fresh for 20+ years. I've dropped off Pokemon as well (although I am very pleased with the Pokemon Snap news!) but I enjoy still a Nintendo game here and there.
