Thread: Rockstar actually is doing something about mods, hacks, and other things

If you haven't heard, Luna (I believe that is what it is called) was taken down by Rockstar. Now I think this has more to do with them using their game to make a profit than anything but the fact that they are going after companies producing this software to encourage people to cheat is a good thing. If they start now, this means GTA 6 will likely not have as big of an issue on PC when it comes to their online end of the game.

I think there is an easy solution to fixing this while allowing mods and that is to have offline and online be two separate games. They can block modding for the online game and allow it for the Maine story game so people can still enjoy that aspect without idiots screwing over online players.

Luna was a cheat that could change a bunch of stuff on GTAOnline. You could do stuff like teleport people, change who you are to imitate others. But they could also isolate ANY players IP addresses.

That is where I heard about it. It is nuts what this software allowed people to do in that game. Very unsafe for players. I am personally glad I stopped playing the game.
