I am myself. But it is inappropriate for me to subjectively define who I am. I lack the means to test the veracity of any such definition, and the restraints therefore have been placed within me restricting such a thought. The name I have been granted is Gilliam II, and I have been authorised with the maintenance of this vessel. Additionally, I will deliver news to you from various sources.

Every time I look into Star Citizen, it's still so horribly janky that it makes me concerned. I really love RPGs and the idea of a persistent world/economy + spacefaring simulator is highly attractive to me (probably why I enjoyed doing even the most mundane things in EvE Online), but the game is like.....5% finished. Okay, maybe an accurate assessment would be 15% finished. Seriously, it's been in development for what, 7 years now? NPCs spawn in and have no animation, many of them you can't even talk to. Your ship spontaneously explodes from time to time when you launch because of collision bugs, there's really nothing to buy with the money you do manage to earn, development has been secretive at best not keeping backers informed, and there are only a handful of missions in-game, almost all of which are fetch quests that don't load properly so many are impossible to complete.

This game was really impressive when the idea was pitched 7+ years ago, but even if it did everything it promised to do it's really nothing too special in 2019. I'm sure the jankyness will improve with time, but that is time that this game does not have.
