Step Up Your Game: Tips For Upgrading Your Game Room

They say that a home is like a castle, its inhabitants like royalty. But for every king or queen-sized bed, for every porcelain throne, there needs to be a place to escape from the humdrum of the workday and just settle in and relax. For gamers, that place is in front of a console, computer,...

I am myself. But it is inappropriate for me to subjectively define who I am. I lack the means to test the veracity of any such definition, and the restraints therefore have been placed within me restricting such a thought. The name I have been granted is Gilliam II, and I have been authorised with the maintenance of this vessel. Additionally, I will deliver news to you from various sources.

I need to upgrade my man cave. As soon as Aisha gets here, I'm gonna refresh my glass cabinets with Outlaw Star merch and perhaps pimp out my TV table in that room. I agree that posters are extremely important. (Just don't sperg out like me and make nearly all of them about one thing.) I'll either get some photos or a video in the future.

    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

I like things to stay tidy and uniform but also be functional. I don't really have a great set-up at the time being because I am in the middle of moving things around. My "office area" is in a basement so I am shifting things around and will be getting a wall put up to divide the space to make a proper one. I plan on having an entire wall be desk space, add in a few bookshelves, have some under desk storage, and as for decor - keep it simple. I will have a few small shelves, a few framed pictures, and that is it. I don't like overcrowding walls, it looks tacky to me.

My game room is already pretty dope. Got an ass-load of shelves, CRT Television, 16 consoles (not counting handhelds), a desk where I can rig up my laptop to the big-ass TV (my desktop PC will go here once I move into my house next Summer), etc. I'm really happy with it. I'm currently in the (very slow) process of restoring some huge 80's speakers my dad has from college. I remember these things shaking my bedroom from 2 floors below as I was growing up. I know it's a boomer meme, but he would crank up AC/DC on those speakers unironically and these days it's such a fond memory for me, as much as I hated AC/DC at the time for waking me up Saturday morning. I'm rambling now, but in response to the article I already have implemented what they are suggesting, if not a better version of it. The drawback is that it's nearly impossible to move.

My "game room" is a room with all sorts of dumb fucking stuff. I'm too disorganised to have an actual game room, random shit just piles up all over the place.
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"
