Will VR gaming ever take off?

I know it is way more popular now than it was just 5 years ago but still, most gamers I know just aren't into it.

Do you think it will ever become the norm over keyboard and controller gaming? I just can't see it happening anytime soon. I mean them 3D TVs were projected to be huge and I only knew one person personally who bought one and he hardly used the feature.

"ever"? Yeah maybe when full-dive comes out. As long as it's some piece of shit you stick on your head (even if it's light and wireless) it's not gonna take off. Some enthusiasts will buy it for sure but to even approach the number of standard PC/console players will be decades. VR has had roughly 3 false starts now and while it does improve each time, I think both companies and consumers will be wary of it for 5-10 years now because it was such a flop yet again. Not that sales were all that bad, in fact HTC/Sony/Occulus had a really great 2015, but I think they're just sitting there with their dicks in their hands in a warehouse full of un-purchased headsets. Now they're all just looking at the floor not making eye contact with one-another so it won't be gay.

LOL I didn't even think of all the unsold items they likely have sitting around. I know the prices have dropped quite a bit. I can't see it taking off for some time either. I mean right now it is nothing more than a trend. Remember hoverboards? Yeah, no one does. hahah
