    Yoshi Games

    Anyone remember Yoshi's Story?

I look back on this game and remember how much I loved playing it. I see a new Yoshi game just game out a few days ago, Yoshi's Crafted World and I wonder how it compares to this classic.

When it comes to Nintendo games, I have always preferred the softer games like Mario, Kirby, Zelda and the like. I am likely going to pick up a copy of this game when I get my Switch. I like that this one is two player as well.

YES. That game is so nostalgic for me. I remember that you could skip the levels if you got 100 fruit in a stage, so I would always do that and only ever fight thee final boss, haha.
Haven't played a Yoshi game since then as I'm not that much of a fan of the character, although they do have a pleasant aesthetic. Yoshi's Island and in particular Yoshi's Story stick in my mind for nostalgic reasons alone, I really never cared all that much for the gameplay of either compared to a Zelda or FF game. I was really raised on RPGs, Zelda, and SEGA platformers rather than Nintendo.

How about you, which were your favorite Yoshi games?

Funny, I was watching a gameplay video of Yoshi's Island (in an unrelated video) yesterday and it was quite nostalgic. Also, Yoshi's Story is an amazing and vastly underrated game.

Those were the days, when Nintendo was worth giving a shit about. (Have at you, Nintendo fans!!) As some of you know I don't hold back when it comes to my gaming views. Nintendo used to be brilliant.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

Yoshi's Story is my favorite of all the Yoshi games for sure. I loved the music and sound effects a lot.

I feel like so much of today's Nintendo gaming is recycled and updated classics and that is fine, but how long are you going to keep doing this for and how long will people actually keep buying it? Maybe it has to do with getting easy sales from kids and they aren't targeting adults as much anymore.
