Thread: Gene Starwind's politics

Gene's politics are never really discussed during the show and I figured this forum could do with another political discussion. However, I noticed something about his design that suggested what they could be, or alternatively Takehiko Ito's.



It got me wondering.



This is a joke. Ya know, for the few here who may actually take this seriously. Gene is clearly a capitalist. He loves that sweet sweet green!

Gene would run for office only to get #MeToo

Gene, like a surprising amount of anime protagonists, is highly individualistic. And that's something I can appreciate in a day and age where a lot of (American) media is based around group identity and collectivistic ideals, for better or for worse. I'm reminded of my favorite quote from the show, which you can read in my signature.
