Let's Play Suggestion Thread

This should've been put in place long ago. Sorry about that.

Basically, you suggest a game that's suitable for the forum (I'll get onto that in a bit) and depending on general consensus, I or someone else may end up playing it.

THE RULES:

Nothing that contains pornographic images.

Try and pick a game that's suitable for all ages.

Violence, Language and Gore is a gray area. If I'm not entirely sure on it then it'll be checked with Mantis.

Games are subject to recording methods. If the LPer can't record it, then it can't be done. For example, I myself can't LP UFO: Afterlight because of a recording problem.

Optional Rule: Try and pick a game that the forum can join in with. It's fine if you pick a single player game with no interaction abilities available but it'd be nicer if everyone could contribute. Even if it's just a character name. This does not mean it has to be a multiplayer game either.

Now that the rules are over, you may suggest a game. PUT YOUR SUGGESTIONS IN BOLD AND YOUR AGREEMENTS / VOTES FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S SUGGESTION IN ITALICS. This'll make it much easier to see who wants what.

You may suggest one game and vote for a suggested game once. Your vote is allowed to change. For example if someone suggested Pokemon Emerald and you liked that, but then Star Trek: The Next Generation appeared you can change your vote to this. Please state you've done this in your post.

Voting for the first game ends at The end of this month. If there's a tie then the first one suggested shall be done first.

To start this off, I'll suggest

Dominions 3: Single Nation A turn based tactics and god simulator game where you pick a nation and create a god with the intention of becoming the next god of gods. Nations and ages vary across the board from nations based upon the Norse to the Mayans and even some based upon Cthulu. This game is complex but I'll try my hardest to explain mechanics, even if it's not me running the LP

By picking Single Nation the forum will work as one to beat myself (or whoever runs the LP and has the game).

Dominions 3: Multi Nation Same game except everyone who joins in gets their own Nation and you fight each other for dominance. Who will be worshipped amongst the forum?

Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lordis A turn based tactics game that works much like the Final Fantasy Tactics series. Dragons, Undead, Angels and mere men work together for a common goal. Not as complex as Dominions 3 but there's still some fun quirks like the element system.

Feel free to suggest your own or agree with one already suggested.

Multi Nations sounds like and excellent idea and like that others will be able to contribute with it, but tactics sounds very interesting as well. Really hard choice for me................I'm gonna go with your suggestion for Dominions 3: Multi Nation for now.

Super Mario Kart or Mario Kart 64: These are fun to play and easily accessible by nearly all forum members, and I'd certainly be willing to play them. However, Mario Kart 64 would probably be the better option since it supports four players, as opposed to Super Mario Kart that only supports two.

Super Mario Kart is striked out though, since the rules are only suggesting one game. Whilst they're both very similar, I think Mario Kart 64 would be the better choice. It was either suggesting a Mario Kart game or Worms. Anyway, here's a video of Mario Kart 64 being played online with a Windows emulator. It's great fun.
