I imported a few board games from Japan a couple of years back. I only did it for the Takeshi's Castle (my favourite game show) board game but there was a couple of others bundled. At first I didn't know what they were.
I found out I have a board game based on the Touch manga/anime from the 1980s. I instantly recognised the art style that's similar to Maison Ikkoku or Ranma 1/2. I enjoyed both of them and as soon as I saw that Touch is apparently similar to Maison Ikkoku I got it ready to watch. It's unusual for me to watch a romantic comedy but there's something special about the '80s style that you never find anymore.
There's a third game, like I said. Unlike the Touch board game there's absolutely no English text so I have nothing to go on and could do with help.
Obviously it's a children's manga/anime. Unfortunately as I'm trying to free up space in my apartment, one of these have gotta go. I do feel slightly bad about doing it. There is some written Japanese on a few manuals in the box. Probably in the 1980s this board game was enjoyed by a Japanese family. I know it sounds weird, but by throwing it out to a landfill I feel like I'm wiping out a small piece of someone's history. It's still gotta go though!![]()
