I hear you - better to cry in a ferrari than on a bicycle, right? I think the consensus here is that money is good. Anyone who thinks that having a lot of money is bad has never had enough money to know...

Most of the problems, fears, sadness, and regret comes from not having money so right off the bat, money would already make me much happier. People who fall apart because they won the lottery can't handle that much money and never should have had that much. That means it doesn't bring happiness, I think it just means that some people can't handle the money.

If I'm going to be sad and die lonely, I'd rather die a millionaire than a poor person.

Having money is always better than not having it. Money may not be able to buy someone who has lost all their family happiness but it can sure buy that person things that will take their mind off it for a while.

It depends on how much money you have. Money can buy happiness. Like said above, I would much rather die a millionaire and in a massive mansion than die living a sad and lonely life. I doubt think anyone wants to die sad and lonely. I saw a Twitter post that had had a good comparison, would you rather cry onto the seats of a Bugatti or cry onto a stone cold floor as a homeless person. It doesn't matter if money cannot buy you happiness, money can make your life a lot more bearable and enjoyable.

This meme probably explains it well to be fair:

Money, if it does not bring you happiness, will at least help you be miserable in comfort.

I think this quote says it all.
    Never overestimate mankind.

In ramifications, I don't see the reason one would even convince the thought that money can't actually buy one happiness. If not money, what then can buy one happiness? Is it poverty?

In my individual opinion, there is nothing money can't buy in terms of happiness, comfort, fame and prestige. I can only thing of one thing money can't buy, and it's life after someone is dead already but money can go a long way in preserving life. There are some health conditions that without money, the sick individual won't last a day. There are some that are perpetually on life support and all as a result of money availability.

So how then can someone openly say or ask if money can buy happiness. Well, if you did ask then I put it to that yes, it's in fact the root and foundation of happiness.

Happiness not being tangible in the same way a carton of milk is means that it cannot be straight out be bought, but given how central spot money has in our societies nowadays it's pretty obvious that money makes people happier up to a level. After you have enough to pay your living while enjoying it money starts to lose its value in the sense that more money will no longer increase your quality of life. I reckon this was researched to be somewhere around $150,000 a year or something, and I could easily agree with this amount.

Obviously depends on where do you live, somewhere you could live like a millionaire with this wage, somewhere you'd still be on the poverty line.

Money is only a tool for me. It should only be a means to an end, not an end in itself. Use the money to achieve your goals, but do not obsess over it. I don't think it is happiness itself, but one can make use of money to be happy. Well, it can't buy everything.

In my view money is important, we use money to solve our daily problems and to buy our daily needs. So to me money can buy people some happiness because if you're watching a movie or ordering your favorite pizza or buying a new game console or smartphone then you are using money to make yourself happy.
