Thread: The Great YouTube Crapfight

Okay, here's the deal; find a horrible cover of any song you like (or to make it even more painful for everyone, a song you absolutely loathe) on YouTube, then post it so we can all share a despairing sigh at some deluded spacker demolishing a well-known tune or three.

It can be any cover too, from crap college bands to chart-launched piss artists. I'll start with this abomination:

I ****ing HATE this version. The original was a loud, messy, over-in-three-minutes song you could senselessly try get drunk to (or mindlessly drive to), but THIS... it's so painfully shite. The sort of music that effortlessly ruins a meal, and not because the singer sounds like a warbling mutant Cornish pasty (in fact I quite like Cornish pasties, if we're at least talking about the food and not using some sort of awful euphmism for something I'd better not mention here because it's quite possibly a violation of forum rules, but you get the idea). The lyric swap isn't the problem and doesn't even come into it, because that was inevitable anyway. Although it does **** up the rhyming scheme, which when I think about it docks about 10 points. Out of 10.

I'm not a massive fan of the original, but I can listen to it easily enough without complaining. It's really hard to describe exactly why I hate Stone's shitty cover so much, but a lot of it is to do with the fact it's completely lacking the energy of the original in every way. This is something that I couldn't even fall asleep to either, because I'd want to smash the ****ing radio to bits before it'd finish. It's dull, monotonous and is a horrible choice for a soul-style cover.

This topic is about trains Swedish dance bands COVER songs. Not craptacular original works, because there's going to be a separate thread for that. And I think I've found that particular winner!

Oops, I thought "(or to make it even more painful for everyone, a song you absolutely loathe)" meant any song you absolutely loathe, not a cover of a song you absolutely loathe.

Probably something to do with mongoloid hooved mammals and boolean operations that won't work for some inexplicable reason.
