Got a OLS Custom Made Clock

My wife ordered this for me for Christmas from a company called Society 6. It's proudly displayed above my little OLS Shrine. Next thing on my list to get are the other novels and maybe the dragon magazine idk.

That's a really cool clock. I looked on the site and the pricing is pretty decent too. Hopefully they make at least some effort to identify infringement, unlike other sites such as Redbubble.

Apologise for going off-topic here, but really, screw Redbubble. There's a guy who grabbed a couple of the panorama images (one example) I stitched together and placed on OSN and OSN's Twitter. Not only was it not even my art to begin with, but to add insult to injury he then said that he created the art himself.

I feel slightly iffy about sharing Outlaw Star media because it isn't my property, but I try to make up for that in my Outlaw Star video uploads by promoting the box sets on Amazon. (And in the case of the Toonami episodes, they won't harm sales.) Somebody taking an image I'd only modified and making money, that's something else. Guess what Redbubble did when I reported it. Nothing indeed.

However, in the case of that clock, odds are that the seller is the legitimate artist and he/she got paid for it.

Back on topic now! (Just wanted to rant about that issue, not meaning to hijack your thread. )

The Dragon Magazine art book is good, but if memory serves, it mostly focuses on the finished anime. By that I mean that while there may be some useful information (I wouldn't know for sure without having the pages translated) I remember that a lot of pages are filled with anime screenshots. In other words, while it is a good book, I'd definitely recommend buying a different one beforehand. There are books that have lots of concept art, for example. One of the best books is Sentinel III. You'd probably need to buy it from Japan. I probably told you this already, but most Japanese eBay sellers increase typical retail values immensely. Even though you'll need to use proxy services when ordering from Japan which introduces extra costs, it usually ends up being cheaper. Plus, you'll find more merchandise on Yahoo Japan Auctions.

One exception is Mandarake. They'll ship directly to most western countries. Most of their Outlaw Star merchandise is out of stock but there are still a few gems that are available at the time of writing.

Nice collection, by the way. Those figures are in high demand these days.

I get you. I'm sorry that happened to you. I hate when people lie about stuff and claim it as their work. I dealt with another "artist" like that in the past lol I had my suspicions about that book. It does seem like it mostly has screen shots in it. I'm going to look into that Sentinel III one. Those figures were from eBay when it was alot cheaper I won them in a n auction. They went up in price since than. Thanks for info all of this is really good to know.

Nice collection, very similar to the size of mine haha. I agree with Mantis' assessment of Redbubble. I've never had any issues with the items i've received from them, but the "creators" on there outright steal artwork and make money printing it onto stuff. Very uncool in some cases.
