I don't know the answer to the question, DarkBetter, but I'm just glad he does! It's superior quality to anything I've ever seen before.

    RE: Outlaw Star HD

Old thread but for anyone curious, I was actually thinking about grabbing a set of videos on eBay and as far as I know there are only two options, the VHS tapes and the DVDs, tapes weren't too expensive but don't really feel like messing around with the VHS anymore so I shopped around and found the entire collection set for about $34 shipped (in the U.S.).

I haven't bought it yet but seems like a good price to me.

Huh... I thought I replied to this thread. I guess not. XD Perhaps the post was lost during the downtime incident last month.

darkbetter: There isn't a literal HD version. It was upscaled from a Japanese "remastered" version, which was never released in English. Getting that remastered boxset would set you back probably a good £250/$400/1300 Romanian Leu. A fortune!

WiseNinja: Yeah, there are some pretty good deals on Amazon and other similar sites. Just be sure you're buying from a trusted seller, as some have been known to sell bootleg versions, but that isn't very likely. I'd also highly recommend getting the Complete Collection, since there's also the Perfect Collection which ironically is inferior. I hope you find yourself a good deal. Although I'd certainly say $34 is a pretty good price shipped.

    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

The remastered was great because the new heavy ink lines really brought the show to look even better.
