    Outlaw Star Memories

What specific moments do you remember in Outlaw Star?

Theres so many, but for me, it has to be when..
    Episode: Cats, girls, and spaceships
Episode Cats, girls, and spaceships Jim destroys the ship Hanmyo's in, and isnt aware its hers. I swear the last 10 minutes of that episode is the saddest thing...

    RE: Outlaw Star Memories

    One would be...

    Episode 15: The Seven Emerge
The way Gene treats Melfina after he comes back drunk from talking to Shimi at the bar. Gene can be a real ass sometimes. XD
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

Episode 4: When the Hot Ice Melts
The events leading up to and including Hilda's death, but also how level-headed she stays until the end.
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

    RE: Outlaw Star Memories

For me, Outlaw Star just takes me back to when it was shown on Toonami at like 9 or 10pm at night. Everyone else in my house would be in bed and I'd be sitting in the small TV room watching it on my lonesome and enjoying every second of it!

    Melfinas Song
At the end of each episode, as you all know, that beautifull song comes on for the ending credits. Melfinas song! I must have cried countless times to that song, especially when it was a sad episode. It would make me feel sooo alone but I kinda enjoyed the way it made me feel as well. It's weird how it touches my soul! I think it's supposed to make you feel lonely though, because Melfina sings it in one episdoe doesn't she? Because she hates how she doesn't understand the purpose of her being. Isn't it when she's tied up at the galatic leyline? (I've not watched it in so long...)

A lot of the time I had to quickly turn off the TV before the song came on because I just couldn't handle it making me all emotional!

So in summary, Melfina's song is my best memory of the awesome series that is Outlaw Star.

RE: Melfina's Song (Episode 21 onwards)
It's a nice song, though I never quite understood the credits imagery. Melfina sings it on the deserted planet in the Grave of the Dragon episode whilst Harry listens. The song is also the opening clip of the penultimate episode, shown below.

    Jim: "How do you know?"

So sad... You're right though the ending credit pictures really don't relate to the show at all ha.

I liked the little episodes that were clearly filler, but were so funny and so creative that they were almost as good as the actual story.

    Gotta love the hot springs.

I actually submitted a high school commencement speech based solely on episode 2 prologue.

Gah, I love the prologues! So beautiful! And that narrator! (Jet from Cowboy Bebop by the way)
    My favorite was always:
    Episode 15 The Seven Emerge
The Shimi one where the narrator says: "If someone were unfortunate enough to make an enemy of the Anten Seven, and forced to fight against them, I would say only this... farewell, friend."
"Believe in yourself and create your own destiny. Don't fear fate." - Narrator
