It has to be 'Through The Night'. If not for accidentally hearing this, I probably would have just changed the channel without ever knowing what Outlaw Star is.

My favorite from this selection is 'Gentle'. Love that piano music and how it plays when the narrator is going all philosophical during the second episode's prologue.

Going with "through the night" on this, definitely one of my favorite anime openings.

I don't really see "Through the Night" as counting, but that's just me. Mainly because it isn't played in the actual series. Just an opening that's exactly the same (with a small difference to what you see in a few episodes) every episode. I don't have any favourite scene to associate with it, so it's not a favourite. Then again, it does play in episode fourteen for about fifteen seconds, much to Gene's disappointment.

I really like Flight. That'd probably get the second-place prize. XD

:O I'm actually another one who's gonna say that Through the Night is up there for me >_<. It's probably my third favorite from the OST 1 with Suzuka's theme being second. Suzuka because the song is very japanese-esque but has that futuristic mix tied in so it just suits her character perfectly! I'm not even sure I have to explain Through the Night: really catchy, always got me in the mood when the show started, etc.

Ah! I forgot all about Suzuka's theme. Got to agree with you there Masaka, I do enjoy it as well. As for through the night is just sounds so good. I love when the song gets to the part where gene is dodging and running from rockets in the opening XD

Holy cow that's one of my favorite parts too XD. It also gets good when he starts shooting at the kei pirates, but that's sorta the end anyway.

Yeah, that is a pretty cool animation. XD Loneliness is a good one. I can't count how many times Gene's flashback of his father's death was repeated.

Gah, I don't know what it was called but I love the tune they play with the harmonica.
