    Outlaw Star Revelations

Earlier today I was watching the new Pilot video Mantis posted and I saw this comment.

Does anyone know what this guy is talking about?

Part of me is interested, yet part of me is nervous.

I do not think re making or re booting the serious would be a good thing.

I wouldn't worry too much, I highly doubt that guy has any official association with the series. I agree though, I wouldn't really want Outlaw Star butchered by 2019 sensibilities.

He says "Cant say much, but it takes place roughly 37 years after the original."

The Instagram account is a meme account, they are just referring to the fact that both Korra and Aisha have dark skin. In fact, there are tons of interracial porn references throughout the account, this is by no means affiliated with OLS officially BUT IT IS FUNNY TO READ. I like this person's tounge-in-cheek style of humor and have followed them, lol.

As for the YouTube comment I can't confirm or deny but I hope it's real. Anything released in 2019/2020 would be so far removed from the original that it wouldn't hurt my feelings for the source material. I'd just like to see them try something because I'm curious.

I've spoken to that Dan. To put it simply, he's a very big fan with an even bigger imagination. What he speaks of is his fan project. He has detailed how it would be part CGI and part 2D, or something like that. We all would love a lot of good things for Outlaw Star in the future, but without either the expertise or the money to make such an ambitious project a possibility, you're only going to come across as an Idea Guy.

I don't know anything about Jason but the Instagram guy is absolutely a troll.

tl;dr: Nothing will come from any of this, sadly!

Edit: Ninja'd by Zem. Blast you.

    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

Thanks for shedding some light on the subject Mantis.

His comments later revealed that it was in fact a script he was working on to pitch to Funimation.

Well... I read the recent comments. He mentioned sending these scripts to Funimation and Adult Swim. Funimation is an entertainment distributor (and dubbing company) and Adult Swim is a TV network. Not sure what they could do. I'm not sure what Sunrise could do either.

Sunrise is an animation studio, but any decisions are probably handled by the bigwigs at Bandai. Even then, they're not even going to acknowledge an English script because they are Japanese. Even if Dan has the best Outlaw Star sequel idea in the world, I honestly think he's best contributing it to the fan fiction communities.
