    New Melfina Doll

I've discovered a new Melfina doll. I don't mean to mislead. By new I mean one that has turned up online that I had no idea about, nor has anybody else told me about. Of course nothing new is being manufactured. At first, I thought there was only one which I already own one of. Here's a poor screenshot from a video of mine that shows her. She wears the same fishnet suit from the opening.

Little did I know, there's another doll which is Melfina wearing her usual outfit. I'm planning to buy a set of both the one that I own and this new one.

As you can see, it appears that her poncho is provided as a separate item of clothing. I never knew about this, so are there others I'm unaware of? With this, I'll own the following 'Melfinas': Small Bandai figurine, large detailed figurine, these two, and lastly a figure with movable parts of "Melfia" (not an official name if there is one), basically the dark version of Melfina from a hentai doujinshi. I'm not sure how the doujinshi could have been popular enough to warrant manufacturing a figurine.

So, I think I'll have one more thing to get: the mythical Aisha figurine. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No matter what she's in, Melfina is just too adorable. Though not sure how a doujin was so popular, I don't see anything wrong with the non-canon one either- it's actually a very cute appearance for her, and kind of neat seeing her in something different in general- kind of makes it feel more rare or special than they already are in a way, I'd say. My only complaint is how lifeless her eyes look, but...I mean, it's a doll...It's just a weird appearance for Melfina that way in my head.

I see what you mean about the eyes June, but it almost seems appropiate, considering she's an android and all. (I wonder if Harry would be the Ken in this relationship? Just kidding.) It's nice that they even included the poncho!

And an Aisha figure, you say? I think we all know one person here who would be especially interested in such a thing.

It's unfortunate, but I won't be getting those dolls. I would have won the auction, but at the last minute the seller backed out and closed it. I'm not sure why. I'm glad I know the poncho-wearing Melfina doll exists though, and I'll keep my eye open for this and the elusive Aisha figurine. I figured out how to set an alert notification (it involved signing up for a Yahoo Japan account and I had to go as far as asking a Japanese man to write the CAPTCHA for me!) for Yahoo Japan Auctions so I get a new e-mail every day with the latest Outlaw Star items that pop up.

Mantis has you covered as far as Outlaw Star merchandise is concerned!

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention that I forgot I own two of the fishnet Melfina dolls. I got another one for cheap, but I own so many Outlaw Star items it's hard to keep track.

I'm hoping of finding the Aisha figure, but if I do it will be a small fortune to buy. Plus the Aisha figure is actually a garage kit. For those that don't know A garage kit is a figure you paint and put together yourself like the Outlaw Star model Mantis has.

I heard a lot of sellers from Japan that sell only in Japan and will back out on buyers if they find out they're third party sellers for buyers outside of Japan or not an Japanese buyer. I don't know why they do that if they are making the money they want or some other underlying thing. Which I think you and I discussed before.

Yes, I believe they did. The Japanese can be racist, but when you consider they'd be losing money by refusing a sale, it doesn't make sense. This may be the only time this has happened to me however. A bad time for it to happen, but what's done is done. Also, I still have the contact details of the guy who replicated the garage kits I sent him and sent them back with painted models. I did pay him for these, but if I explain the rarity of the figure and that it's in demand, perhaps we could work out a deal so I could get a painted figure for cheap or free.

I remember the guy your talking about. He did sell the replicas of the Outlaw Star and Melfina B figure. I don't know if he is still on eBay selling.

I don't think he is, but he still has a website or Facebook or whatever and still sells figures. I'll find the details tomorrow.

The doll listing has magically reappeared, but the seller is blocking bids from the proxy. Perhaps he (or they) indeed really do not like gaijin.

I guess he doesn't like money, either.
