Thread: Outlaw Star Acrylic Stands

Hey guys, I’m pretty new here, but I figured this was the best place to put out this idea. Recently I made sets of acrylic stands with chibi characters on them. I loved how they turned out, and want to make another set. The next line will either be My Hero Academia, or Tenchi Muyo. Here’s the thing, I’d really love to make the next set the Outlaw Star crew, but I’m worried they won’t sell.

The set would be Gene, Melfina, Jim, Aisha, Suzuka, and with Hilda as a free pre-order bonus. Each stand is about 2.5” tall, and the complete set will probably be about $30-35

I’m not asking for money right now of course. I’m just trying to see if there is enough interest to pursue this project. If you think you’d be willing to buy a set, let me know. I would need to sell about 6 sets to cover cost of manufacturing. If I know I can at least cover the cost, I can begin work on the designs ASAP.

It's very easy to post pictures on the desktop site. You just use the picture frame icon and the image will be hosted on this server. With the mobile app at first it isn't obvious but when you figure it out it's not so difficult.

Your work looks brilliant. If it counts for anything I'd buy the set (but maybe you knew that already) and $30-35 is a really good deal. I shall modify a quote from Outlaw Star to inspire you to make them!

Now that I know how to do that, I can update this post with my progress as I go forward. I’ll be working on the rough sketches today to try and nail down the poses.

Still at work, but I whipped up a rough proof of concept sketch of what the Aisha might look like.

Who boy. Man, I put off doing this for a long time. For anyone interested,
I never finished the rest of the crew, but Aisha has been done for a while, and I finally put in an order to my manufacturer to get a few of her made.
