Thread: Outlaw Star Pilot Dub (Update: It is done!)

Just wanted to give this a proper response, and I can say your reasons definitely make sense! Especially considering the amount of users that are currently active on this site. Truth be-told I was only suggesting it as an alternative to skype, since I'm not a fan of it. (Also I think a part of me still holds a grudge for it replacing my one true love msn messenger.) Posting to the board alone is definitely fine, but I actually really like the idea of a chat open on the weekends. c:

Also I'll probably try and watch the re-stream in August then! Especially since it's my birthday month, I figure that will be a fun way to celebrate.

We aren't fans of skype either, I think we have only ever used Steam chat or the built-in chat box on Mantis' streaming service. I used to call people online for years throughout all my thousands of hours on MMO games, so I don't mind using Discord or whatever just for calls during streaming nights, but for regular communications we want to keep things on the forum.

The forum's chat box will be open this weekend! I'll likely update or post a thread when I re-open it to remind people while it's still a new thing.

Thanks for that link, Wanderer. I completely forgot that AJAX Chat is a thing. It might be what I used when Outlaw Star UK ran MyBB. But it has a version for vBulletin as well? I might try this. However, when we activated a shoutbox in May nobody used it. Discord simply isn't an option for me. I'm gonna think about this.

By the way, I'm moving this to the new forum, Cyberspace, since this project is finished and many people already know about it. For those who don't, I can't remember if I actually linked the final YouTube video in this thread.

What an amazing re-take of the pilot episode with the original voice actor! To be honest, I think it's even better with a more matured version of Melfina, because it frames her speaking in past tense even better that way. Awesome work!!

I hadn't thought of it that way, but now that you mention it I think I subliminally picked up on that and that may be why I was so impressed by this recording.
