Thread: Any plans for New Years Eve/Day?

I know travel is still restricted and a lot of areas are still telling people not to gather in larger numbers so that might put a damper on plans.

I hardly ever do anything on these days. I will usually spend new years day with my parents. They used to have a celebration with people but these days, they just have me and my brothers over for dinner. My husband and I might go there or have them over on New Years Eve to play games since my mom usually goes out but is too paranoid about the virus.

Do you guys have any plans?

Yes. I am going to spend New Year's Eve/Day with my parents. I wouldn't have done if it was more than just my parents as I prefer to keep things safe and already spent Christmas with them. The COVID rules around New Year's here are ridiculously ambiguous. I understand bans against parties and other large gatherings given the current threat. I don't think it matters in my example because they haven't given any real clarification.

I can't blame your mother to be honest. The virus is a thing of course and unfortunately a lot of people are very lax about containment, to the extent that many feel paranoid even around those they trust. That includes a lot of my family. They say they'll take precautions and then they don't even bring masks.

We probably won't be doing anything in particular on the days. I guess simply having some company can mean a lot in a year when there's been so little for so many.

We usually go to the beach, but that's not going to happen this year which is a shame as last year was a good time.

It's my birthday on New Years Day, and it's a big one as I'll be turning 30. I'm actually fine with getting older as starting a new decade of my life is like beginning a new phase of my life.

Well, with Minnesota shutting down bars, there's not a whole lot I can do. The good news is I get done early on New Year's Eve so I'll have most of the day off. I'll probably relax New Year's Eve and consider the Friday get together as the real party.

My plans:

No work. Spend time with wife and the kids. Eat Chinese Hot Pot. Sleep. Eat other food. Rest. Take alot of the family videos recorded and make it into a family movie. Watch some shows. Complain about Marxist-Communist SJW on Parler.

Any anime recommendations?

Join the usual friday night group sessions.

How active is that place? I heard they got a lot more people joining around the US election time. I just keep hearing about it being some conspiracy/racist online network. I know that isn't true, they just don't want people leaving Twitter. lol

Adobe Flash Player is officially dead now lol I read about it ending as of the 1st the other day.

I ended up going to bed before midnight. Not worth staying up for such a crappy year. lol I hope everyone here has a better year for 2021!
